Luxilon Alu Power vs Luxilon Alu Power Rough

I am about to buy either Luxilon ALu Power or Luxilon Alu Power Rough. Which string is better, if there is any difference at all? What has more power, control, durability, tension maintenance.....?

Don't buy either. They hold tension horribly, and there are better strings out there. Try Yonex pro poly, Dunlop ice, Dunlop black widow, SPPP, and others...

IMHO- I like the little extra spin from rough. Both are great strings for the first few hours of play, but they tend to die quickly and after that, the magic is gone. Great for players with deep pockets than their own stringing machine.

I switched over to Tour Bite.

But if you've never played with either, can't hurt to try for yourself. That's half the fun anyway.

They are almost identical, but I like the rough a hair better.
