Luxilon Overgrip

Hi, have a quick question. Just bought the new Luxilon Elite Dry overgrip and it has the plastic wrap on the same side as the sticky thing at the beginning of the overgrip... So then which way do you grip it- with the sticky side down as with most grips?

On lots of other grips the sticky side and plastic wrap are on different sides right?
Thanks in advance.

The sticky side goes up and anchors on the overlapping wrap. These grips change the usual orientation to avoid leaving residue on the underlying grip.

If you try to wrap it sticky side down, the bevel is on the wrong side. It should go along the butt cap to start.

Correct!

yea makes sense, as long as the bevel cut is in the correct position....

but that measure its a bit much? overgrips usually do a really good job at staying put with themselves without extra aid already, plus your hand pressing on the grip when in use its a sure lock.
interesting.

Hate to revive an old thread but is this it confirmed that the sticker side up is correct? I found this thread which seems to say the opposite.

I just got a pack of these and found the sticker side up seems to be a more of a tacky finish than the other side which was more like a tourna or prespi absorb dry texture (which is what I was expecting when I ordered them)

The grips bevel does suit the sticker side up too which is why I actually searched to see if I wasn't the only person confused, and I've come away from these 2 threads just as confused.

I can only agree with everyone here, I bought a 12 pack of these back in 2017 and only used 2 of them, pure garbage.
I'm going to try sticky side up since I still have them, but I can already tell it still feels terrible in hand, but maybe it'll at least actually grip..

Edit: It's even worse on the 'right' side, and also left gray stains on the leather grip

I actually reached to luxilon and they said the reason they have been so bad is that they had a storeage issue at their warehouse. They plan on relaunching the grip within the next year

The grips are beyond bad. They are straight up garbage. I can play them in dry, cool conditions and wear through them in 20 minutes meanwhile I play with Volkl, Wilson, Yonex, etc grips for days before switching.
I bought the larger pack of Lux overgrip and had to throw most of them out after legitimately trying 3 or 4 of them.

How is the quality right now? When I first used them, they were fantastic! Lasted longer than Tourna and was just as effective in absorbing sweat. The last batch I got must have been old or defective because the grips disintegrated while I was putting them on and crumbled when I tried to play. It was very disappointing.

How is the quality now? Has the issue been resolved?

Bumping this as I had the same experience a few years ago— an initial three pack was potential favorite great but then a following 12 pack was completely unusable. Any current feedback would be appreciated.

These used to be the best overgrip on the market. Sadly they changed the formula or the process and they disintegrate almost instantly now. Back in 2018 these were my go to.
