Luxilons US Open 2010 Stringing Analysis

If you go on www.bigbanger.com and click on the "Pro Tour" tab there's a few links of some of the events Luxilon strings has strung for including the 2010 US Open. You can download their stringing analysis which shows which tensions are most popular and the strings some of the pros are using etc. It's probably old and already on the forum but I haven't come across it yet and noticed there's been a few threads on string setups of the pros so maybe someone's interested?

Enjoy

Some analysis of the use of different gauges of string was also conducted with no significant
patterns or findings emerging. As confirmed by player interviews, the gauge of a string appears
to be of little or no interest and few pro players knew the actual gauge of their string. Their
choice of string appears to be based on the overall characteristics of the string and none of the
players asked rated gauge as an important criteria. Durability was regarded as important – and
gauge does, of course, contribute to the durability of a string – but gauge did not seem to be
associated with performance.

The bolded part above indicates exactly how much club players tend to overthink their gear.

Great find and very interesting.

edit: Although, looking down through the list, I wonder how accurate it is as Stepanek is listed as playing with the Volkl DNX 9 which clearly he didn't in 2010.
