I like Tommy, he's making American tennis great again, but Sinner seriously is long overdue a big title, and he badly needs to get going now. He lost Miami final and IW and MC semi-finals, and that after having very good runs. If Tommy wins, I will be behind him 100% in the final though.

Tommy is playing at a much lower level than he was playing last night against Carlos. His tactics are also nothing like last night. He's doing nothing but defending and scrambling, not doing anything offensive with his serve or in coming forward. This will be over fairly quickly if he doesn't get his head straight.

I agree. He has but he’s still young. If you look he hasn’t been that far away. It just takes one great tournament to propel a player to go to next level. He needs to win this event though. Needs that breakthrough to build belief more for slams.

Well, that was a p1ss-poor first set, no two ways around it. Sinner completely overwhelmed and paralyzed by tension - but somehow found a glimmer of his level right at the very end to get the decisive break. Hope he can finally loosen up now and start playing to his standards.
