Hrm, well, Monfils played better in the second set I guess, still somewhat disappointing.

Decent tennis from Nadal but didn't have to work too hard.

Is it just me or does it look like Monfils came to this match with no tactics whatsoever? he was playing right into Nadal's hands.

Nadal's clay-court win-loss records:

In his ATP Tour career: 194-16 (92.38 winning percentage)
Since the start of 2005: 168-6 (96.55 winning percentage)
Since the 11th April 2005: 154-4 (97.47 winning percentage)

Solid win for Rafa. Looks like a sure bet for the final. Probably doesn't matter that Almagro is playing great tennis, he always finds a way to lose vs Nadal. Even when he has multiple match points. :oops:

That's right, Almagro is another one from the kennel of Nadal's lapdogs.

rafa made a little more unforced errors then i thought he would, but he did play quite agressively so its all fine. He served well and i am glad he played well at the net.

What would be the right type of tactics to use to try to beat Nadal on clay?

Robbie Koenig, on Nadal's racquet head speed "its like a bicep curl everytime he hits his forehand"

Koenig = Nadal_Freak

anyone?

lol, that was pretty funny. :)

Goodall also settled who is the most liked athlete in spain right now imo. He said all the journos say it's clearly nadal.

To me, Monfils seems to have no tactics/game plan most of the time.
