Or are we in for another winner by The Sinner?

Sinner looked scary in his semi final today. Incredible tennis and he’s so tough to beat. It will be difficult to stop his win streak.

Zverev playing well too and in an other final. I hope it a good final. I feel sinner will be too strong but hoping it’s a competitive match.

Sinner in 3 sets! Think Zverev might get 1 set but think sinner will wear him down in 3rd!

Sinner could get close to some of the record win streaks if he bags the title here and goes through Rome and RG undefeated too.

It going to take something special to stop him and his main nemesis and biggest threat Alcaraz isn’t in his path right now.

I honestly don’t see how Zverev will a steal a set. I really hope that he does. But with a gun to my head, I’d bet on Sinner in 2.

I’m taking Sinner 6-4, 7-6.

The Sinner will not be forgiven if he lets this one slip by. He'll never get a chance to replicate this level of success in masters again. Nobody ever had.

This is Zverev's best chance yet. Clay is (for some reason) the surface he has the most successes on in the past, whilst Sinner's worst surface is clay (he's still phenomenal on there in any case). This is added on the fact that Sinner is playing four consecutive big tournament runs to the final so he could very well be worn out. I still don't trust Zed for jack though.

Another Sinner-Zverev match, another win for Sinner. I hope for the Ziraffe to show up, but don't expect him to make much of a dent even if he does. Sinner will have to have a very bad day for this to be a match.

Wow. I just checked the betting odds. Sinner is a massive -690 favorite to win. I.e, you have to bet 690.00 on Sinner to win to profit 100.00. He’s basically a 7/1 favorite to win.

Sinner is at -172 to sweep Zverev in straights. That is insane.

Something tells me he'll get plenty of chances to relocate a run like this.
That depends on how you define "chance." Every Masters tournament is an opportunity to win and start a new streak, so yes, Sinner will have a never-ending supply of those chances. But how many times will he come into a Masters final with the four previous Masters titles already under his belt? I wouldn't count on that situation recurring often, if at all.

Yeah, I meant finding himself in an equivalent situating. His career is still long, so I think if he's been able to achieve this at 24, there's a decent chance he'll win 4+ in a row a few times again. I know it would be crazy, but he's doing it. Let's see how this comment ages... my guess is in his career he'll do 4+ M1000 in a row a handlful of times.

Here’s a different take, which isn’t one that I necessarily believe in. But this is a positive spin for Zverev fans.

Sinner has never even been to a Madrid final before. This year makes Sinner’s first semi and first final there. For all intents and purposes, Jannik is a novice at Madrid. This is Zverev’s 4th final. And Zverev has won this event 2 times with wins over Nadal(Madrid GOAT) and Thiem(2 times). Zverev’s additional experience and practice there will make him the overwhelming favorite to take out baby Sinner. Plus, Sinner will be very nervous facing this tall player that is a legend at Madrid.

Zverev in straights by a score of 6-4, 6-0.

Yes, but he didn't have any IW or MC finals before this year either...

All things being normal
I think Zverev's FH will be exploited and then he'll lose some confidence, get pushed around and the serve will get less reliable and that will be enough.

Yes this fast (altitude) clay seems to be his favourite court but I reckon if the usual Masters etc winning Sinner is present and correct it's only going to go one way.

I watch because you just don't know, and there's bound to be some good tennis along the way:)

Why did Giant Meteor get more votes than Zverev? There has to be a chance of at least a couple percentage points that Sinner turns lame, faints, or coughs up his breakfast. He is far from impervious to the ailment factor. And GM would have a tough time wresting the trophy out of Zverev's hands in that scenario.

Hopefully it will be a competitive match.
If Sinner wins, he will make history.
He will become the first tennis player to win 5 consecutive Masters 1000 titles and to win the first 4 Masters 1000 titles of the season.
:D

If Zverev couldn’t beat Cobolli on his home turf, how will he beat the hottest player in the world, in a final, and has lost 8 consecutive matches against him?
