yeah that was a bad game from Djoker. But you have to earn it, Seppi is not gonna lie down.

pus IIRC seppi has played a lot more clay this year than has djok ... otoh, seppi is way down in rank compared to nole ... so class should out, but as you say, nole's gonna have to TAKE it.

oooow, I didnt think that would sound so sexy..:D

they've played roughly the same number of clay events, number of matches played on it I'd say Djokovic is ahead given the fact he's going deep.

Seppi saves 2 MPs and has a game point but after a monster rally Nole finds an incredible angle to take it back to deuce

MP 3 for nole

denied again, Seppi fires down an ace

Davydenko and Kolschreiber retired injured (sorry if I mispelled Kolschreiber but it's a terribly difficult name) so Nadal and Roddick advance.

Oh sorry, I didn't see that it has already been posted, I just heard it right now on TV . This must be one of Roddick's best results on clay, quarter finals.

Do you know what injuries? I just hope Davy's isn't anything serious. And Kohly's as well.

Federer/Roddick
Murray/Del Potro
Two quarters set.

Hmm... Come on, Novak, let's convert one of these.

I think he hit an 187 Km/h FH earlier this year against Tsonga

yeah I remember watching that, absolutely cracked it after tsonga was dominating the tiebreak.

nole comes through at the sixth time of asking, good stuff from Seppi, he really fought hard and played some good stuff but the gap in quality was too much in the end

Wait, didn't Nole go out of Madrid Early last year? and i doubt Murray will win this one, so how far does Nole need to go to regain his # 3 ranking?

Only six matches being contested today. Four over, two left. Wonder what's going to go on with the scheduling. I was looking forward to Davy/Roddick. Nadal/Kohly wouldn't have been competitive. Can Rafa play Cilic now? Just a set if you want!

the points dropping will be from hamburg last year (points will always last 52weeks), Murray has the least to defend out of the top 4.

Don't know about Kohl's injury, but the commentators said that Davydenko tore a muscle, they didn't say which one though. This makes me depressed.

Novak went out in the R16 in Madrid, but he's not defending Madrid points this week. He's defending Hamburg points where he reached the semis.

Novak can regain number three if Murray loses tomorrow and he makes the final or if he Novak wins the tournament (won't matter even if Murray's the finalist).

Simon/Ljubicic will play at 6 pm. In an hour
Monaco/Verdasco at 8 pm on Manolo Santana. In 3 hours.

I heard leg injury for Kohly. Nothing specific, though. The Davy news makes me depressed as well.

I see...well world # 4 Novak Djokovic just doesn't sound right to me..i hhaven't heard it since 2007

I'm hoping he can get back his no.3 ranking soon. I think he would have to win this tournament in order to do or something like that. Anyways, murray has a lot of points to defend after wimbledon, so nole could get a chance there.

so we do have an OoP shuffle?

I better get cracking on some work in that case, glad Nando/Pico is on Manolo Santana now though, the atmosphere should be awesome =D

Nah mate, don't do work, it's overrated. Do it like me, sit back and relax, enjoy the time before exams :)

I was surprised when I saw this too. Also I am not sure what why is Djokovic playing doubles, since he is playing 3rd week in a row.

Who knows...i have no idea..probably trying to improve his net game?

But I'm still surprised..i remember how great Fish and Roddick did he usually plays with Roddick or Blake...but when i saw DP i was shocked

simon leads 4-1.

i love simon and lubo, they remind me of the guys that played tennis in my park every day, all summer long. they're kind of scrawny, and a little disheveled.

Hah. Exactly! I hope Simon wins, but I'll be quite happy if Lubo won as well.

This is the best I've seen Simon playing in a while I think, working the ball around nicely and he's stepping in at the right time.

lol. you remind me of my friend, tod. he's always like, "he looks like so-and-so!" and i'm like, "ahhh . . . no, he doesn't."

Hmm.. I became a Simon fan because he looks like my first boyfriend. The only player where I've let their looks dictate my fanhood. I like aspects of his game very much now, but I wouldn't have even noticed him if he hadn't taken me back to when I was 15. Simon, it seems, inspires a lot of looks like comparisons. :)

he makes me laugh cos he looks like he just rolled outta bed and jumped into his ride to get to the match. that's how my friends and i always got to the courts. we never wanted to look too nice, you know. :)

the last match is monaco/verdasco. the winner to play nadal. fed plays roddick. and delpo plays murray. do i have that right? i'm on the friggin madrid site but they don't have the draw updated, even with two walkovers today.

you have it exactly right ^^

The madrid site is a shocking bit of design imo; it's an attempt at something a bit more modern and unique (presumably to match the tournaments overall feel) but it's implemented poorly, the general audience are likely to be confused by it's non standard page layout, various links appear to be broken and so on. I think they'd be much better suited by a more standard page layout; things can still look modern (colour palette, font choice, menu's etc) whilst retaining a more recognisable order. As it is now it appears to be confusing a lot of users rather than impressing them.

Simon is really stepping it up, this is what I want to see from him!

i got my degree in graphic design (not that i'm using it) and i'm givin' that site a big thumbs down. this whole tourney has been a big swing and a miss. they should hire me for next year. heh
