would it really make a difference in this case... it's roddick. I'm sure whatever time they were scheduled, fed would have some kind of advantage.

No I am talking about SFs which will be played on Satruday. Federer will have much more time for the rest after his QF than Murray or DelPotro who are going to finish quite late and will likely be tired for SF against Federer (or Roddick LOL)

oh okay. personally, I don't think it will make much of a difference. It might have a little impact, but that's just me.

That just shows you constant unequal treatment Djokovic is getting from the organizers. He didn't get a single night match and is constantly pushed out of the Centre court(s). Same was in AO, Miami, ...

It is not really big deal in this case (but it was on AO though), as I said there is more shade on Sanchez court anyway and you would not want to be playing until midnight and than play the SF tomorrow, like in Murray's case. Also Djokovic has a doubles match tomorrow at night as well.

I wonder why is Federer-Roddick QF scheduled so much earlier than their opponents QF. It is also not fair. Federer yet again gets unfair scheduling advantage. Repeats way too often.
it's not a conspiracy against djokovic, gj . . . you said it yourself: nole has two matches tomorrow, none of the other guys do. so they have to get him in relatively early. fed is in a slump, but is still a huge draw, they have to put him on center (squeezed between a couple of women's matches that no one really cares about). you KNOW nadal is gonna get the primetime slot (even moreso now that he's facing verdasco). like you said, the last match is a b*tch, and that goes to murray/delpo. so i think djokovic is in good shape to be the 4pm match on the second court. then he comes back later for his doubles.

you gotta admit, his quarter is the least appealing, facing lubo.

i think it makes sense to stagger the men's matches like that, not to give anyone an advantage, but for the fans attending and (more importantly) for tv. i really don't think two hours is gonna make that much of a difference.

I never said it is conspiracy against Djokovic per se, but just that scheduling (and little perks like closing the roof) is often advantageous for players that draw bigger audience (Federer, Roddick, Serena) over others. And that is simply not fair. Djokovic often stands out since he is a high ranked, high profile player, which organizers don't consider highly marketable.

And I said I do not have big complaints for Djokovic's schedule in this particular case. I would be more upset if I was Murray or Del Potro.

Interesting that 7 of the top 8 seeds made the quarters. While Roddick did get a walkover, he played well against Haas. I don't think at the start of the tournament if you had said 7 of the top 8 would make the quarters would you have guessed Simon as the one on the outside looking in.
