Repeat of their 2018 Madrid encounter where Zverev won 6-4 6-4 without dropping a serve..
It was an anomaly though, and the Austrian has quite largely dominated this matchup both on and outside of clay.
This would also be their first encounter since that epic memorable 5 set thriller at USO final last year, where thiem prevailed to win his 1st slam title.

Zverev defeated rafa in QF 6-4 6-4, whereas thiem took down big American John Isner in QF 3-6 6-3 6-4, Saving multiple important break points at 2-2 in set 2.

Predict, discuss, stay blessed, love tennis.

Zverev in 2 or Dominic in 3.

Dominic just isn't there yet, and none his opponents in the draw were really that good. Unless Zverev plays horribly (Which I expect him to ) or Thiem plays near his usual old self, this should be straight forward for Zverev

Ye mei ku6 samjha nahi
(I didn't get that)..
zverev is currently in a better shape, so why'd he lose if it goes to 3?

Zedraffe had every opportunity to fall apart Friday vs The Nadal but he held it together and cruised in straight sets. I think he does it again today. Li’l Thiemmie should be happy to get 4 matches in and move on to Rome and its RG-like conditions so he can fine tune for the slam.

I want Dominic to win and so I am predicting him to win. No real reason, just what I want!!! I would love a Thiem-Ruud final!!! At least it won't be Tsitsipas or Rublev, the two players I genuinely have been feeling could gain momentum towards RG next month....

Zod in straights. One close, one easy. Thiem getting hyped for comeback but who has he beaten? No one of any consequence.

From the very first point you could see what Nadal could've done much better against Zed - mixing his game up and slowing it down with more slices. Thiem is doing a great job so far, sending those low-bouncing balls and combines it with some heavy topspin shots. Zed looks more uncomfortable.

Nadal has no idea how to play Zverev.

If the shadow cast by the sun at its azimuth kisses the line, the ball should be called in.

No one is hyping Thiem

ATP and media are. Saying what a strong comeback he's having. ATP.com had Perfect Thiem on front page after his win over....Giron. Commentators on TV were saying how good he was looking, etc.

Zed is the best player in the world when he doesn't choke.

He has been generous, Thiem, Medvedev and Djovak can all thank him for their recent success.
