Thiem has been playing bad for the whole year. The match against Dimitrov was the worst I have seen from him.

If he doesn't wake up in Rome and FO and score points, the summer will be very hard for him. (he will do nothing at Wimbledon)

Thiem is a very curious case right now.

In the beginning 3 games he looked to have the right tactics, the right approach. Afterwards his blister trouble made him lose serve.

In this set he has just absolutely given up.


Nevertheless, a SF is much better than what I feared. This clay season isn't going to yield a lot. US HC season is where some hope persists.
