I havn't checked this thread in a while, thought I'd see how it's all going. I gotto say it's pretty funny. Its good tactics isn't it? he's playing by the rules, maybe the organizers need to make better rules next time :shock:

Well I could have done it in the last series to Vivalavida and Shadows but didn't (which resulted in a 3-way tie for 1st instead of an out-right win) and I don't think Shadows did it to Tennis_Maestro in the first 2 (or was it 3) rounds so it is just bad sportsmanship. I don't know how you would stop it though because you would have to prove that they were doing it. In this case Safinator admitted to it but in others it could be hard to prove 100% that they were doing it.

Maybe next time the rule could be that the first 3 ranked people going into each round have to vote in descending order. Just an idea.

Otherwise tennis Maestro and Safinator could wait until the last second like on e_bay and try to put their bids in just before the player from the first match hits a serve.

As to the things happening in the thread, I don't know what to say. It's just a silly predictions game. Predict what you think is going to happen and see how good you're at it. Winning is great and all (ask shadows, he's the expert (at doing special favors) at it), but it's really not worth all this hoopla.

Too right, you as well as the likes of Viva Lavida and Shadows are real lovers of the game, thats the difference. He isn't breaking the rules so i guess we can't ridicule him too much.

I don't think that is acceptable. Everyone has to be able to see all predictions. Predictions that are not posted here should not count. It is only fair.
If you suspect they are copying yours you wait until they post theirs.

I think it's acceptable in this particular situation. It's almost 10:00 am (or 2:00 pm) and he can post each one here after the respective match starts for everyone to see.

Sorry, not that I do not believe you, but this is making a dangerous exception, and is IMO against what this game is about.
This game is about posting predictions here for everyone to see. If everyone started emailing you there would not be much of a game left.
For this case, he can post his predictions couple of minutes before the match starts and if Safinator posts the same predictions after him we can all agree that they should not count.
This is just a game, not really that big of a deal, and if anyone is pathetic enough to copy someone else's picks so be it, but if we start to hide picks from each other, than there is no point playing the game anymore.

Disagreed, your making something out of nothing. Seffina can quite easily post up my predictions after the matches have started, as Seffina has said these are unusual and unfrequent circumstances.
Emailing one person all your predictions does defeat the purpose of the game, but so does blatantly copying a players predictions in order for you to maintain a lead in the competition. lol These sad, negative and cheap use of tactics need irradicating.
