Maintaining the bevels when building up a grip

There have been some recent threads about how the heatshrink tubes and multiple overgrips hurt bevel feel. Here is an example of how to get it back using a replacement grip (in this case a Wilson Shock Shield grip). The handle in the picture is then wrapped with an overgrip (2nd picture). The strips add around 5g in this example and other bevels could be used for the strips. Heck you could cut strips for every bevel if you wanted and wrap that. Many ways to use the concept. For me, I like the rectangular handle this makes. Sorry OCD police.

See thats cool and all but 86lbs on 4G?????
I cut the 4g with kevlar mains :)

All I can tell you is that these sticks are high swing weight. I just added 30g of lead at 10-2 with some at 12. Betting I added 60 sw points. If the stock sw is 301, then I am now at 361sw. Its a 110" and really powerful so the high tension is a must. Said another way if I took off the weight that stringbed would probably mess my arm up a bit...but with the weight its not a big deal.

Thanks but it wasn't clear what you used to get the 'bevel feel'?
What exactly is that black-looking tape?
