Make your racket look better or different with electric tape.

I used head protection tape to protect the 8 to 10 & 2 to 4 sections; not so much to change the look.
Head protection tapes are mostly used on the outside of the frame and they come in limited colors. For cosmetic purposes I recommend to use electric tape or other colored tapes on the inside of the frame. Like on Head I.Prestige mid.
The Völkl racket had damaged bumper guard, which was integrated, that means it was under the paint. I had to remove the grommet first, then came the bumper guard off. Now it has a couple of layers el. tape instead of a bumper.

Battle-worn electrical tape:
Ha-ha. It works also for protecting the frame. Or you added it for the weight?

nice try,, but no!!
electrical tape is not good for this purpose, comes off to easy
try using finger NAIL paint, it dries hard and quick

Enough electrical tape to take my Burn up to 370 sw.

Lol - I thought OP was talking about matching the electrical tape (aka grip finish tape) with the colour of the string bed..... that’s what I usually do anyway lol

youde be surpriced how many rackets ive come across with electrical tape, duck tape, packing tape, lead tape, in the head guard location,,
does no good, 1 scrape and it comes off and/or tears, and it leaves a sticky residue to boot.. no Bueno!!!

what ive seen a couple times and it works:
is "head guard tape", cut in half (length wise), and placed at either side of the bumper guard, leaving the string valley exposed, so even the stringer does not have to remove the tape when restringing

The all black PS97 is a great racquet for disguising with electrical tape.

Want an Ultra ... Blue tape.
What about a Blade ... Green tape.
A Burn ... Orange tape.
Tuxedo PS97 ... White tape.
Dimitrov model ... Gold tape.

I’m just using it for weighting because I can’t easily get lead tape here.

Back in the early 60s my uncle (an electrician) was driving back home from being in the service with his new wife. They were in their early 20s and stopped at a restaurant that required shoes and his wife didn't have shoes (Hey it was the 60s)... He went to his tool box and fashioned a nice pair of sandals for her by wrapping her feet with his electrical tape and they entered the restaurant.

Hopefully the tape's adhesive wasn't too strong. Otherwise taking off those "shoes" would have been very interesting.

I bet it was as electrical tape leaves those black globs of adhesive on your hands if you touch it...

I was thinking about this last night and it had to be more like 1964 or 1965.
