Making a tournament draw

Hi guys, was just wondering what the correct way to make a draw is. I am running a tournament, and it looks like I'm going to have about 20 people. Now I know when making a draw, it has to come down to 8, then 4, then 2, in order for it to work out evenly. My question is with a 20 person draw, how can I do that. I am not seeding anyone, as this is just a friendly tournament for my lessons. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

That's pretty hard to do with 20 people. Maybe do a round robin first round with 8 game pro sets and the top 16 avance from there.

To do a straight knock out you'd have to go up to a 32 draw, so you'll have 8 players start in round one and the rest get byes to round 2, from there it would work out. I'd do four groups of five round robin with the group winners going through to the semi's.
