Making ProKennex Ki Q+ 30 more headlight without changing swing weight?

Strung specs of the racket are:

Head Size: 119 in / 767.74 cm
Length: 27.5in / 69.85cm
Strung Weight:9.6oz / 272g
Balance: 13.85in / 35.18cm / 1 pts HH
Swingweight: 321
Beam Width: 28mm / 28mm / 28mm
String Tension: 50-65 pounds

My plan is to use a multifilament at around 65 pounds tension to dial in the power.

I also plan to increase the strung weight of the racket to around 320g without changing the swing weight.

This would mean adding around 40g of weight (leather grip + lead tape around the handle since you cannot remove the butt cap in pro kennex rackets)

Why a 119 sq inch? I love playing with oversize rackets given it's large sweet spot and forgiving nature. Also help reaching otherwise unreachable volleys.

I'm having tennis elbow as well, so wanted to go the pro kennex route, but since this racket is 1PT head heavy, want to add weight to the handle to make it headlight and further assist with my TE recovery.

I'm currently playing with a Yonex Vcore 95 (2021) and I know I will have to alter my technique to match the oversize, but I'm getting on with age now and would prefer an easier racket to enjoy the game of tennis, whilst recovering from TE.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

If you're ok with increasing the grip a half-size, starting from the upper edge of where the butt cap taper meets the grip pallet (~2" up the handle), wrap 20g of 1/4" or 1/2" lead tape in a very shallow spiral up the handle to about the 7" mark. You can get to 20g with either a single wrap of .5g/inch lead tape, or double wrap of .25g/inch tape. Then add the leather grip on top (usually an additional 10g versus the original grip). There's 30g right there. Then add an overgrip (another 5-7g or so). That's 35-40g total added. Swing weight will increase by maybe 2pts, max, and you'll have a head-light balance than is probably somewhere in the realm of 8-10pts strung. Done.

Thank you so much @Trip very valuable information. I usually play a grip #4, but I will buy a grip #3 for the purpose of adding weight

I also have TE issues. I have been considering the ProKennex Ki Q +20 which seems to have the balance that you want in a 110 headsize but the 68 RA scared me. Instead, I opted for the Prince Phantom 107G and I'm really liking it and so is my problem elbow. It's strung with Prince syngut with Duraflex @ 51 lbs. So far, I have not added any lead tape. My only addition is 1 Gamma overgrip to make the 4 1/2" grip size slightly larger. Is the superoversize Ki Q +30 very playable? My groundstrokes are driven with decent pace and some spin rather than merely guided. I'm not sure that the +30 would have the control that my game requires. Please share your experience with it.

the prince phantom 107G and the ProKennex Ki Q +20 were some of my options but unfortunately they are not available in Australia, so these are the options I am looking at, at the moment:
- pro kennex black ace 105
- ProKennex Ki Q+ 15
- Pro Kennex Ki15
- Pro Kennex Ki5 295g

dont let the high RA rating on the pro kennex deter you, as they are arm friendly due to the arm friendly tech in the handle similar to Yonex, but better.

My reason to go for the ki Q+ 30 is mainly due to the huge forgiving sweet spot. no doubt i will lose some control but i am planning to string it with a lower powered string to gain some of that lost control. Also after adding 40g weight to the handle, it will make it head light and maybe as i progress along with age i can remove some of the weight to suit my game style.

I will keep you posted on the Q+ 30.

Why can't you take the butt cap off Pro Kennex rackets? I've taken them off 5g's, ki5's, ki10PSE's and ki 15's. Is there something unique about the ki 30?

Oversize and low RA- you should try the Gamma Bubba 117
