Many withdrawals this year...can it be...

Don't want to judge or point fingers and mention specific players or anything. But I'm wondering due to the strict rules regarding bubbles in "designated hotels"...can it be that certain players are worried that they may get caught doping?

I'm sure that if some do dope, it's easier to do so in their own homes/chosen accommodation?

Some of the withdrawals sounds a bit irregular.

Unless they’re doing blood transfusions, I don’t see how being in a hotel can make it more difficult. Taking pills or getting a shot in the derrière can be done anywhere, even in a restroom (wink wink). The real test is the Olympics.

I think it has more to do with the fact it is only two weeks after Roland Garros. Never understood all of the doping conspiracy theories. But if players are doping, being in a bubble isn't discouraging it.

Why would being in the bubble make it more difficult? You get caught doping via testing, not in the act itself.

Well...perhaps it's easier te setup doping systems at your own locale compared to what is given to you? Things can perhaps leak more easily in controlled bubbles vs. more remote locales. Guess I'm wrong.

Did Serena not refuse people accessing her home for testing? She probably had a tight to fight it. But her being a target or not is not my point. Perhaps someone can clarify the random testing systems? I dunno...somehow the bubble system just seem very big brother.
