Marcelo Rios' Mystery Nikes

Any body know anything about these Nikes:

Rios wore these in 1998 and early 1999 while making some deep runs at the bigger tournys. Outsole looks likes the Oscillate with a few more details. I emailed Nike about these many years ago and remember getting a response stated they were tennis specific and the model name, but I can't track that email down (it was sent over 8 years ago). I've never seen them on any other pro or in any marketing materials.

this is pretty cool but the shoe looks like a nike running shoe its outsole is pretty close to the oscillate as what you stated

Correct, i had them too but in red (although i liked the blue much more)
very good shoe and very light, very easy to wear and a bad ass look!

I remember those. I tried to get a pair too. They did not sell them in the states from what I recall. I dont think they sold his clothing line here either (the cross looking shirt he wore at the Lipton in 98).

Yeah Nike had some really cool stuff in 98 and Rios always looked bad ass. I miss the air Assailant shoe Agassi used to wear too.

The AZ Pounce. VERY ugly but VERY comfortable. A total gem of a shoe, fit wise.

I had a pair of these. Unfortunately the sole wore out in about 2 weeks.
