I really haven’t followed college basketball much this year, but I’ll go UNC over Duke in the final.

Upset pick: Northeastern over Kansas

Heard it here first

I got that upset also. Yale in the sweet 16 Oregon in the elite 8 among other dumb picks I made.

My Goophers put the first the first win on the board over Louisville. Yale keeping within shooting distance against LSU.

First 2 days of the tournament are most exciting.

Just when Bradley looked like they were going away and down by 7, they come storming right back.

Survived, but need to be way better or it'll all end. Possibly even on Saturday.

Izzo chewing out Henry was a calculated risk that backfired entirely. He was completely tilted the rest of the game and almost cost them the game.

The most games played, though if you pin me down, I probably prefer the opening weekend...R of 32 to get to a Sweet 16.

You a Minnesota grad? Michigan State is my alma mater. Good luck Saturday. Should be a fun one.

That region half is a Big Ten party

Vermont hung tough with FSU, something I suspected might happen after watching them in their conference championship game vs last year’s #16 UMBC. Too much athleticism won out in the end though.

Now we have to hope Heartbreaker Morant can be neutralized a bit or we’ll go home instead of a trip across the continent. That guy is amazing, getting a trip dub (17/11/16) on nine shots.

Our teams stressed us out too much. Hoping for a calmer Saturday.

Sparty played Minnesota and spanked them in the regular season; also one of their bigs had some back issues during the ‘Ville game. You should roll.

FSU has a tough one. Morant is a highlight film waiting for you to hit “play.” Marquette knew this, blanketed him as a result but he found teammates and Murray State drained their shots (53.6/50.0). If they duplicate that Saturday, we have problems.

Yeah Minnesota is really strange. Give them belief and they'll stick around. Start to run out to a moderate lead and they'll pack up shop and give up.

Although the tourney will get increasingly tougher, my first full day was pretty good, only dropping two games after hitting on all of the First Four play-in games. I don't expect this hot start to continue.

Bracket is looking pretty bad. New Mexico, Yale, st mary’s and Belmont all broke my heart. 8/16 total but still have elite 8/final four teams

Kind of disappointed that the committee put Mich St. and Minn in the same subregion. It would have been nice to see them play at least a couple of games outside of their conference before meeting. Minn will have their hands full on Saturday.

And then Maryland possibly next. Committee did an awful job

Minn is generally not a good come from behind team as they don't shoot the 3 all that well or often (game vs. Louisville was an aberration). Kelcher is a good 3 pt shooter but seems to have trouble getting open and creating space for himself.

I have a feeling today’s going to be a lot more hectic

Iowa makes for a Big10 bagel in 1R with their nice 2nd half comeback over Cincinnati. Can the Badgers and the Buckeyes make them 8-0???

Kansas State with the monumentally stupid decision making down the stretch

Tennessee falling apart in the second half and now trail Colgate with a bit over 10 minutes left. Can The Admiral lead his armada back from the rocky shores of defeat???

The Admiral hoists his own sails with a pair of late treys as the Vols pull away in the regatta. Jordan Burns is keeping Colgate afloat with 29.

As a Robert Downey Jr fan, I hope his performance as Dr. Dolittle in this year’s film is as strong as Khristian Doolittle’s effort today (19/15) for Oklahoma in their takedown of Ole Miss.

Lol wow UVA almost did it again. Hopefully that calms MSU down a bit seeing they weren't the only high seed pushed hard. Nothing is free anymore.
Tennessee was in trouble later but experience prevailed. There’s something gained sometimes from the upsets a year before. Three of the last four champions lost on the first weekend (Villanova 2x, Duke) the year before. That had not happened in almost 30 years (Indiana ‘86/‘87).

Great 3 vs 6 matchup on Sunday with Texas Tech (my pick to lose to FSU in the Elite 8) facing a very strong Buffalo squad.

Wisconsin fades badly from a tie at halftime to an 18-point loss to the Oregon Ducks. Neil Everett will quack a lot tonight on SportsCenter.

UNC running into a #16 buzzsaw...Iona is draining treys ala Splash Brothers. McGill is 4/4 from the arc and the Gaels are 9/18 from downtown. Still close though.

FSU with a dominant first half, 50-34. They seem willing to give Morant his points but to shut off his passing lanes that led to 16 dimes vs Marquette. Morant has 18 but just 3 dishes. FSU has 23 off the bench so depth and length may prevail.

All chalk so far, thanks to blowouts and LSU edging Maryland on a late possession but I wouldn’t be surprised if Auburn pulls the upset of KU.

I think I’m in the right thread but I’m not sure with all the ComedyGold44 threads:eek:

Tennessee blew a 21-point halftime lead but dominated the OT to advance.
