Maria's SpeedPort Black

Someone posted this on a different thread
Ever since Indian Wells and that backhand incident, I haven't been able to get my arm up and close to my head without some sort of impingement and grinding..so I've been trying different rackets with different weight balances that are a bit more flexible and the strings looser to get as much tension away from my arm as possible. So for the last week I have been playing with a new frame...I'm usually very sensitive to any minor changes and we usually do this in the off season, but we really had no choice this time. Apart from that I spent a good ten or so days concentrating on my fitness and in the last week have been playing a few practices and matches etc.

If you look at the picture above and count the holes on the insides in the light gray area, going from left to right, there are six square holes and then two dots on the right. If you go back and look at TW's pictures of the speedport black, the gray area has one dot on the left and then six squares holes and then one dot on the right. If you look at the speedport black longbody pictures, it has the same configuration as the one Maria is holding above, six holes and then 2 dots on the right.

I would venture a guess that it is a speedport black longbody, not a standard. It would make sense, since she plays an extended length anyways.

Can anyone post pics of TW's pictures of the sp black and sp black lb on the inside of the hoop? I am not sure how to do that, it would be easier to see from pictures than reading my gibberish above.

Well... The fact that Sharapova swithed to SP Black is strange... really strange... She was playing with SP White Pro before! In Moscow '07. Maybe as in Moscow, Maria will be playing Speedport Black just for one match ;P

What string is Sharapova using for the crosses, any clue? (assuming that the mains are the new Babolat R200C)

She looked awful with the new racquet. She had so many errors the other night. She tore some tendons in her right shoulder and has withdrawn from this tournament and The Olympics...might have something to do with her switch?

I don't know what is so good about the speedport black racquet?
I think it's way too powerful.
I've been seeing some top juniors hitting with it but I really think that they will find themselves overhitting, but power is good for Sharapova since she uses her right hand instead of her natural left.

Also I really don't think that the racquets had to do anything with her shoulder.
I think it was the strings, because she must have to put an extremely high tension on her prince racquet.
I know this because I used a prince 03 white and I had to string it like wood to get any control and it hurt my arm.
If you use low tension on a prince frame you get WAY too much power.
Knowing the power she posseses it was probably the high tension strain on her shoulder when she served from that prince racquet.

IS that the regular length version or the extra long version ?? and the speedports look same to me as the real one.

And I played with the SP Black and had to string it as tight as possible otherwise it was too much power. But even after doing that, I still felt the racket lacked a certain aspect of control and balls still flew!
