Mark Philippoussis vs Sebastien Grosjean *spoiler*

It's about to start.
I've seen some of Mark's recent photos and he seems to gain some weight, especially his arm looked much bigger. unfortunately he's facing a cunning player in the 1st round. I'm curious about how well Mark moves and if he can simply streamroller Grosjean.

That's not good... Mark's got serve and not much else.
hey should I keep watching this or just go to sleep?

I would not say that all flip has is a serve. Actually when he is 'on' I think he has one of the biggest games out there.

Not that he is 'on' all that often...

I don't like how he's rallying with Grosjean all the time, that's the play Grosjean likes and I doubt Phil. will come out on top on the long run playing like that.

rilokiley I tried to catch your attention to prevail upon you to watch the match

Seriously Mark hasn't been winning many matches due to his injuries over the last couple of years and he is now 30 years old. so I wouldn't be surprised if he gives it up in the near future. so I said it...just my weightless opinion

Grosjean wins in straight sets 6-4 6-2 6-4. Really think that he deserved the win. Philippoussis was getting all angry at the chair umpire about something to do with his racquets. Have no idea what was going on.

Destructo, did you go to the open?
Not this year. Funny how I live in Melbourne all year except for summer  (though I intend to go to the AO next year). I watched the match with the live feed link.

I wonder how many times Flip has actually lost to Grosjean, I have seen it happen quite a few times, one time even live in Stockholm Open. This must have been a nightmare opponent for flip.

Grosjean was unbelievable - what was it, 6 unforced errors for the ENTIRE match? With circa 30 winners? Those are Federer-in-the-zone stats there.

Mark does not travel with his own stringer, and there seemed to be a communication problem with the Aus Open tournament stringers.

Grosjean was very good today. Moved superbly and hit some great shots, alot of variation in his game.

I've never been impressed with Grosjean, he always chokes! That said, I like his chances against Flipper every time, because he can mix up the pace and also hit winners. He's just not solid enough to play with the big boys.
