Marketa Vondrousova (CZ): a wondrous star is born!

Plays tomorrow noonish her first match in the MD of 2017 RG.

Already
89 NCH (94) Markéta Vondroušová 17.9 CZE7 675 +7 +40 Qual. Roland Garros W

Big watching quandary for me: having to watch in parallel Halep, Bouchard, Vondrousov.
More difficult than the 180 practice serves I had today.

[EDIT] Halep was pushed back later by Zverev - Verdasco TBF. Simona might not even play tomorrow. :(

I've seen her play for the first time in this tournament... She's really, really good.

If she improves her serve a little bit she will win multiple Slams

Q1: d. Podorosk 6-0 6-1 0:38
Q2: d. Haas 6-0 6-1 0:57
Q3: d. Blinkova 6-1 6-4 1:06
R1: d. Hesse 6-1 6-0 0:54

Any questions?

True true...both serves not yet on the same level as her groundies and touch. But she has SOME tennis brain..

Markéta paid dearly for qualifying matches, and today it was a bit of a lack of strength.
Now she needs to regenerate and strengthen at the same time. Today she seemed to have trouble with his left hand...

Watched her upset Kasatkina in the 2nd round. Was crushing groundie's then throwing in the dropper. Pretty impressive although boy did she look unhappy a lot of the time lol.

One of the rare thread predictions that turned into reality.

Brilliant, decisive match from my pick Markéta Vondroušová, who made this wonderfully historic Wimbledon final! Markéta Vondroušová is a fantastic new member of the Wimbledon winners' stage!!
