MATCH: NADAL vs. BAGDHATIS

FREDDY

Semi-Pro
this one will be interesting. both guys are quick and hit the ball really well. it'll be good tennis. im going for bagdhatis but, a rematch with nadal and federer would be nice.

im goin with nadal, just too much intensity for bags to handle. rafa is just a beast out there and when it comes down to a few big moments in a match where he is evenly matched with his opponent, his mental intensity can usually pull him through. so im gonna have to go with rafa on this one.

how is nadal's leg? i hope he is healthy enough to beat bagdhatis, and beat federer in the final

Pls don't write off Federer right away. Remember Nadal was 2 points from losing to Roger in the 2nd set of the final in Dubai

Eh? Nadal vs. Baggy is a quarter final match.

Nadal is a tiger and baggy is the hunted. man versus boy. different class. Nadal is the king, baggy is his servant. Straight sets -- despite Baggie's service break in the 1st.

Nadal is taking over mens tennis, that match is just another example of how much of a badass nadal is.Bags hung for a while, then got mowed over by the machine.I would say blake has a better chance of beating nadal than fed does.If blake plays like he did today,so all you fed fans start pulling for blake.

The final game was funny. Nadal kept his foot on the pedal even after a 5 love lead in the 2nd. He made baggy earn that last game. He worked so hard and still got bageled.

I'd say that this is interesting not because Nadal is a badass (well, he is, but that's another story) but because not two months ago, every guy on here was worried Nadal's career was over, and they're probably still saying that about Safin. Now Nadal beat FedEx in Dubai, and he's gunning to get to the finals of the PLO. Yep. Career's over. Totally. :eyeroll:

Absolutely. :eyeroll: smile, laugh, ahhem, wink, smile, laugh.

Now.
Maybe it is just me, but, does anyone else get a little agitated when we use netspeak and abbreviate this tournament's name into "THE P.L.O."? Every time I see that, I think of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Fellow tennis fans: please, please, please, let's call this tournament what everyone in the game actually calls it: Indian Wells.

Sorry, but while I'm being cantankerous... I just think calling a tournament by the title sponsor's name is too convenient. And unweildy in this particular case.

His career wasn't "over," we're simply saying that the preponderance of the evidence says it will be short, and marred by many missed opportunities owing to injury.

I see nothing to contradict that, here. We already know that he's tough when he plays. We also know history says that he's made of glass, will miss as many slams as he plays in, and generally comes up small on 3 of the 4 biggest stages in the game, even on the off chance that he does make it into the draw.

He's a great player of tennis, but has an awfully long way to go before he becomes a great tennis player. I doubt he'll get there. Fragility and a high-impact style are a disastrous combo.

This is just what fed fans are hoping that nadals career would be over.Because they know there boy feds run as#1 is the thing thats over. But nadal is not a great tennis player?Make me laugh i thought fed is the god of all tennis players+ nadal has beat him 3 out of 4.But nadal is just a great player of tennis thats pretty funny. Some of you fed fans are not in reality.Nadal is 19,give him another year or so + he will dominate fed + all the rest.

for nadal, fed is not #1 to him. because nadal
leads 3-1 against fed. i think fed is not satisfied
until fed levels their head to head score, but nadal
is too fast and powerful for fed. so right now, there
is no rivalry between the two. 3 to 1 is not a rivalry,
fed is the underdog.

Bag has run out of gas, he couldn't handle
nadals paced, too tiring for Bags this is one
good thing about nadal's game. he tires his
opponents. i think next time nadal plays,he
should play longer rallies until his opponent
wears out and get cramps.

:) Yeah, nowhere near as logical as Baghism or as prominent with the establishment as Feder-entology. Henmaniacs have got to be the scariest people, though. Right up there with nihilists. The Murraymons and the Safinites seems harmless enough.

If there were an award for the most persistent religious folk, it would go to The Petrova's Witnesses. Door to door is a tough gig all winter long in Russia.
