Dimitrov-Nadal at the AO is my pick. The true Final.Probably Dimitrov vs Nadal at the AO, near five hour high quality and dramatic match in a major SF. It gets my vote.
Dimitrov-Nadal at the AO is my pick. The true Final.
Might be better quality matches this year but for the whole package this.Federer and Nadal final at AO.
My pick. The only match i downloaded this year to watch again.Kyrgios vs Federer-Miami not a bad one.
Muller match great matchBO5: Fed-Rafa AO, Rafa-Dimi AO and Rafa-Muller Wimb
BO3: Fed-Kyrgios Miami and Murray-Nole Doha.
I disagree, Nadal was kinda gassed from the 5 setter with Zverev and then Dimitrov. The level of play was higher in the semi, and it was just as dramatic. The final meant more, understandably, and fits into a bigger narrative, but it wasn't a better match.Obviously AO final. The other three slams all pretty lacklustre.
The best Bo3 match has more competition. I'll go with the Federer vs Kyrgios match in Miami.
I haven't actually seen the semi. It was the one important match I didn't see live in Melbourne this year and I didn't watch it on TV either.I disagree, Nadal was kinda gassed from the 5 setter with Zverev and then Dimitrov. The level of play was higher in the semi, and it was just as dramatic.
See it. It gave me reason to think Dimi would win wimbledon. Of course that was wrong but he had a pretty great season anyway.I haven't actually seen the semi. It was the one important match I didn't see live in Melbourne this year and I didn't watch it on TV either.
I probably should download it![]()
No wonder u picked the finalI haven't actually seen the semi. It was the one important match I didn't see live in Melbourne this year and I didn't watch it on TV either.

Spoken like someone who was probably talking trash before the final then to picks a different match that Nadal won after Nadal lost the actual final.Dimitrov-Nadal at the AO is my pick. The true Final.
If that was the true final, the slam count would now be 18-17.Dimitrov-Nadal at the AO is my pick. The true Final.

Relax, guys. I just meant it was the highest quality match in that tournament, much like the Nadal/Verdasco Semifinal was the true Final in the 2009 AO.If that was the true final, the slam count would now be 18-17.
So it's not anywhere near the "true final."![]()

Honestly thought that Dimitrov was going to convert one of the two BPs he got deep in the 5th set, which would allow him to try and serve it out. Obviously wasn't to be, can't complain though, or else we wouldn't have gotten that final. The 5th set of the final was the most exciting and nerve racking set of tennis for me all year by a country mile, thanks to what was at stake. No wonder u picked the final
It's not even bc Nadal won, bc you know with stuff like that, I'll always just admit the truth. It was a badass match, Nadal was slaying Grigor for a while, but in the 5th set it REALLY looked like he was going to lose.
Hands down!Federer and Nadal final at AO.
Fed had 2 5-setters of his own(Nishikori & Stan) before the final. Stop making excuses for Rafa!I disagree, Nadal was kinda gassed from the 5 setter with Zverev and then Dimitrov. Best tiebreaker of the year, but not match. Come on!Nomination for set of the year:
Murray vs Kohlschreiber Dubai 2nd set Murray won 20-18 in the tiebreak.
but Nadal was old....oh wait.Fed had 2 5-setters of his own(Nishikori & Stan) before the final. Stop making excuses for Rafa!
I don't follow Fed's matches like that tbh, I really didn't know. Nadal still looked gassed to me regardless. IW/Miami Fed smoked him though so it's not like I think it was a fluke, but I do think Nadal would have stayed ahead with more energy.Fed had 2 5-setters of his own(Nishikori & Stan) before the final. Stop making excuses for Rafa!
It was very enjoyable for sure from a Fed fan perspective definitely. A 9/10.i'm worried I'll sound like a troll but for me the most enjoyable match was Fed/Nadal at Indian Wells. It seemed like Fed was playing with sheer joy from
having got Nadal out of his head and it was wonderful to see.
But for quality agree with the people saying Nadal/Dimi semi-final.
Like most of the Nadal fanboys.Spoken like someone who was probably talking trash before the final then to picks a different match that Nadal won after Nadal lost the actual final.
Laver Cup was one of the best events of the year easily. Love the black courts too.Laver Cup Fed vs Nick
I liked Basel Final more between these two. I guess that was more intense.Among those not mentioned yet :
Federer delpo Shanghai semi.
A high quality encounter.
