Of course he is, at least for the Open era it's certain.
Even Connors' win total seems uncertain so I don't see how they can know how many MPs he saved or lost.

Here we go again
This thread is being pushed to the limit lately in terms of needing upkeep.
Boy, this thread has been bumped so many times in just a week.
If by Nadal's turn you mean him squandering MPs, I approve.Still going strong.
Now it’s Nadal’s turn.
Looks like Fed himself forgot about it (after saving MPs against Monfils at the 2014 USO):
'Missing'? I've never seen that match mentioned on the list before. Any contemporary source? To my knowledge, it wasn't televised, so there's no way to check directly. I'm sceptical about this and would suggest @jm1980 not to add it until we have a reliable source or multiple sources.
I see this source is Italian so I guess Italian news could be scouted, bless their tennis tradition...
Fed won the third 6-3 so he couldn't have had a match point thereHere’s a source, an Italian interview with Wessels’:

He’s talking about burning a match point in the third.
Fed won the third 6-3 so he couldn't have had a match point there
Maybe in the fourth
@AnOctorokForDinner I also found an ESPN source, although it's not clear where they got it from

I was waiting for this. Why did it take so long today?Bump....
Interesting stats. Fed is the GOAT of squandered match points. Nobody can match the quantity and the importance of his squanderings.Code:––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– ***FEDERER*** MP WASTED (22) 2019 Wimbledon F Djokovic 7–6(5), 1–6, 7–6(4), 4–6, 13–12(3) (2MP) 2019 Madrid QF Thiem 6–3, 6–7(11), 4–6 (2MP) 2018 Wimbledon QF Anderson 6–2, 7–6(5), 5–7, 4–6, 11–13 (1MP) 2018 Indian Wells F del Potro 4–6, 7–6(8), 6–7(2) (3MP) 2017 Stuttgart R16 Haas 6–2, 6–7(8), 4–6 (1MP) 2017 Dubai R16 Donskoy 6–3, 6–7(7), 6–7(5) (3MP) 2016 Stuttgart SF Thiem 6–3, 6–7(7), 4–6 (2MP) 2015 Madrid R32 Kyrgios 7–6(2), 6–7(5), 6–7(12) (2MP) 2014 Rome R32 Chardy 6–1, 3–6, 6–7(6) (1MP) 2013 Dubai SF Berdych 6–3, 6–7(8), 4–6 (3MP) 2011 US Open SF Djokovic 7–6(7), 6–4, 3–6, 2–6, 5–7 (2MP) 2010 Paris SF Monfils 6–7(7), 7–6(1), 6–7(4) (5MP)! 2010 US Open SF Djokovic 7–5, 1–6, 7–5, 2–6, 5–7 (2MP) 2010 Miami R16 Berdych 4–6, 7–6(3), 6–7(6) (1MP) 2010 Indian Wells R32 Baghdatis 7–5, 5–7, 6–7(4) (3MP) 2006 Rome F Nadal 7–6(0), 6–7(5), 4–6, 6–2, 6–7(5) (2MP) 2005 Monte Carlo QF Gasquet 7–6(1), 2–6, 6–7(8) (3MP) 2005 Aus Open SF Safin 7–5, 4–6, 7–5, 6–7(6), 7–9 (1MP) 2003 Miami QF Costa 6–7(4), 6–4, 6–7(7) (3MP) 2002 Aus Open R16 Haas 6–7(3), 6–4, 6–3, 4–6, 6–8 (1MP) 2001 Halle QF Rafter 6–4, 6–7(6), 6–7(4) (1MP) 2000 Vienna SF Henman 6–2, 6–7(4), 3–6 (2MP) MP SAVED (21) 2019 Rome R16 Coric 2–6, 6–4, 7–6(7) (2MP) 2019 Madrid R16 Monfils 6–0, 4–6, 7–6(3) (2MP) 2018 Halle R16 Paire 6–3, 3–6, 7–6(7) (2MP) 2017 Miami QF Berdych 6–2, 3–6, 7–6(6) (2MP) 2016 Wimbledon QF Cilic 6–7(4), 4–6, 6–3, 7–6(9), 6–3 (3MP) 2014 London WTF SF Wawrinka 4–6, 7–5, 7–6(6) (4MP) 2014 Shanghai R32 Mayer 7–5, 3–6, 7–6(7) (5MP) 2014 US Open QF Monfils 4–6, 3–6, 6–4, 7–5, 6–2 (2MP) 2011 Madrid R32 López 7–6(13), 6–7(1), 7–6(7) (1MP) 2006 Shanghai TMC RR Roddick 4–6, 7–6(8), 6–4 (3MP) 2006 Halle QF Rochus 6–7(2), 7–6(9), 7–6(5) (4MP) 2005 Dubai R16 Ferrero 4–6, 6–3, 7–6(6) (2MP) 2003 Houston TMC RR Agassi 6–7(3), 6–3, 7–6(7) (2MP) 2003 Paris R16 Verkerk 6–7(3), 7–6(12), 7–6(6) (4MP) 2003 Cincinnati R64 Draper 4–6, 6–3, 7–6(10) (7MP)!! 2001 Vienna R32 Massú 4–6, 7–6(8), 6–4 (3MP) 2001 Miami R16 Johansson 7–6(3), 5–7, 7–6(7) (1MP) 2000 Basel SF Hewitt 6–4, 5–7, 7–6(6) (1MP) 2000 US Open R128 Wessels 4–6, 4–6, 6–3, 7–5, 3–4 RET (1MP) 2000 Marseille QF Ljubicic 6–2, 3–6, 7–6(5) (2MP) 1999 Rotterdam R32 Raoux 6–7(4), 7–5, 7–6(3) (2MP)
How did Djokovic turn the match around?

I was waiting for this. Why did it take so long today?
I think there is no record in tennis history of a player giving away 3 matches with multiple match points to the same opponent in GS tournaments, that happening in two semifinals and one finals. That’s unique. If my source is accurate, Fed achieved something very special today with his loss.
Only twice before has a player fallen victim to a M.P.(s) thief in a Wimbledon final who then went on to win.
In 1927 Henri Cochet stole 6 M.P's fromJean Borotra and won the Wimbledon Final.
In 1948 Bob Falkenburg stole 3 M.P's from John Bromwich and won the Wimbledon Final.
In 2019 Djoker stole 2 M.P's from Federer and won the Wimbledon Final.
Fed, always looking to set or tie or simply be part of rare records!
I'm so emotionally drained from it that I didn't even have the energy to bump several threads I was going to bump6 matches in majors lost having had MP. I think even @jm1980 took pity on Fed for blowing CP and didnt bump this one
I'm so emotionally drained from it that I didn't even have the energy to bump several threads I was going to bump
For what it's worth, I thought Fed was the better player for most of the match. This must suck
I saw this post but couldn't find sources corroborating that Fed had MP in these matches. I'm hesitant to add them to the list until I can find more sources. I even tried looking into Swiss and German sources
Apparently we have two new additions, 2001 Paris 2R vs Jiri Novak and 2002 Rotterdam QF vs Nicolas Escude (1 MP missed both times). Could anyone pull any older sources on that?
One of the biggest chokes in recent memory by Medvedev... Nadal wins after being down 1-5 *40-30 in the third
Stunningwell well well..
how I feel about Tennys losing 7 match points to MatchpointererWow. I just can't believe it.
