Matches on DVD

Anyone know a place with a wide selection of matches to buy on DVD? I have found a couple of sites through google but they seem 'home made' and i am not sure what quality of service they will offer. Anyone ever used these sites?

I am only really interested in Grand Slam matches. Wimbledon have a small collection from their own championships but the other slams dont seem to do the same. Is that correct? And I am sure Wimbledon used to have more matches available, there collection seems smaller than it used to be.

Help much appreciated.

Yeah ive checked those out and they only really have the Wimbledon collection stuff again. Its strange but they may even have a bigger collection than the Wimbledon shop itself although its still not much.

Do the other slams not have a same kind of collection as Wimbledon?

Let me know what sites you are looking at (& even the matches that interest you, I may have purchased the ones you are looking for at the sites you are looking at) & I can provide feedback on quality etc. I've purchased about 150 dvds from various sites over the last 5 or so years, & quality is generally good on almost all of them(though I guess people have different definitions of 'good quality')

'Homemade' dvds are really the only option for tennis fans that want a wide selection, Wimbledon is the only slam that offers any complete matches for purchase(& even then its not a large selection)
I've found some of the 'homemade' dvds I purchased involving Wimbledon matches to be of better quality than the official Wimbledon matches(BBC didn't have as good as sound or camera angles in 70s/early 80s matches as matches broadcast on NBC)

When I did a search in google the sites that caught my eye were:

http://www.geocities.com/**************779/faq.html
http://www.tennisondvd.com/

Moose, are the dvds you have bought normally in proper dvd cases with covers etc or do they really look homemade? Which sites would you recommend if not those above?

(seems like the first link wont paste properly, if you google 'tennis match dvds' it is the 4th result - the geocities one)

I didnt have a definite match in mind, things like sampras agassi and so on.

I haven't bought any matches from those sites.

The site I use most often is tennis dvds dot net.

To me, it doesn't matter if they are homemade as long as the picture quality is good. That site has the largest selection I've seen, & the cheapest prices. Picture quality is rated as well, & he gives refunds/replacements if you are not satisfied.

Dvds are just shipped in paper sleeves, so if you want cases & such maybe you shouldn't buy from there. I've heard tennisondvd does provide cases(for those prices they better)

Just make sure any dvds sent are region-free, meaning they'll play in other regions away from where they were made. Some recent buys from Australia didn't play in my Californian player.

The best place to buy tennis DVD's in my opinion is

http://www.*********s.net/

or www dot *********s dot net

This site has a wide assortment of different matches including a lot of Sampras matches of the 90' and early 2000's. I have bought probably around 20 matches from the site ranging from the 2002 US Open Final between Sampras and Agassi to the 1995 Davis Cup between Sampras and Chesnokov. The prices are cheap and the shipping is fast and the quality of all matches are superb.

I bought a tennis match from tennis on dvd before and the selection is bleak and the dvd's are overpriced.

I can also highly recommend this seller. Great prices, fast shipping, clean titling, quality video, keeps you informed. I'll be buying from this guy from now on.
