We're all tennis fans and there's no shame in tears if they've been shed. Every once in a while a match moves us. Sometimes it's what we have going on in our own lives at the time that makes it matter more. Federer got me through some tough times. Anyone else know where I'm coming from? Doesn't matter what fan base. Djokovic vs Fed 2011 French Open, 2008 Wimbledon Final, 2012 Wimbledon SF 3rd set vs Djokovic, etc. Just to name a few. 2008 is cliche but I loved it because Fed never backed down. Love to hear some thoughts. It's more than tennis sometimes.

Definitely get where you're coming from. It's meant so much more to me than the basic outward emotions. So many matches and snapshots from them have inspired me insomuch that they've opened my eyes to possibilities.

I think the only time that I was ever moved to tears was the tail end of that AO '17 final. I think just the sheer impossibility of producing that kind of masterly play at that age, against that opponent, in that setting. I was also extraordinarily sleep-deprived (other side of the planet). :D But seriously, that was way out of peak, and I'd seen much more magical stuff. I guess it was just beyond my wildest imagining that such an opportunity would ever materialize again, let alone be seized.

The AO really has become one of the most interesting and competitive majors in the past decade.

The 2014 Monfils- Fed match is another I remember fondly . 2018 IW will also be hard to forget as is the other 20 matches Fed lost after having MP

2005 and 2006 Rome finals. 2008 Wimbledon finals. All these saw me rooting for the losers.
    Redemption: 2017 AO final.

Side note: 2009 USO final. I rooted for the winner.

2012 AO and 2013 AO when Federer dispatched the GOAT Bernard Tomic in 6 ruthlessly easy sets.

The usual ones of course. Fedal's epic battles. Even though Rafa admittedly won the majority of them they were fantastic matches all the same.

Also loved Stan's epic matches against Djokovic at the Australian Open (and not just because I was in attendance for them lol). The match of the tournament all three times. I was beside myself when Stan took him down in 2014.

As a massive Federer fanatic, this is still the match that gave me the biggest goosebumps.

Happiest moment though is Ivanisevic winning Wimbledon. I was a huge fan of him ever since my entire family supported Agassi in 1992. It was imperative that I chose the then Serb.

Most pleasantly surprised was AO 14. I was sooooooooo depressed after Woggy lost yet another match and thought Stanimal had no chance. Then, the 1st set happened. I don't think I've ever seen Wapha bullied and pounded to pieces like the 1st 2 sets.

One that always comes to mind is Agassi and Blake. Then a few Nadal and Verdasco, Fed and Nadal Wimby, and Djo and Nadal AO (though the outcome is crap).

Wimbledon 09' for roddick - never rooted for anyone more than this guy. I cried with him.
AO 09' semis -Verdasco played his heart out and while I am not a big fan i really felt for the guy
AO 13' Djoko vs Stan - same as above.

Im sure I will think of some more but these three really stand out to me

Cant think of any that havnt been named. Also didnt follow tennis religiously when Novak was dominating. But '08 Wimby final- that BH pass to save championship points was from the gods. And the level of tennis in '11 FO semi for Novaks 1st loss of the season was remarkable.
