Matching LM prestige mid and ncode tour 90

Power Game

Professional
I play with a LM prestige mid and I just got a ncode 90. Can I match the balance and weight of the ncode to the prestige roughly just by replacing the leather grip?

Here are the specs:
Ncode
Strung Weight: 12.4oz / 352g
Balance: 9pts Head Light
Swingweight: 330

Prestige
Strung Weight: 12.3oz / 349g
Balance: 7pts Head Light
Swingweight: 340

what will this do to the swingweight (I guess it will lower it, but by how much?)

Thanks

Adding weight NEVER reduces swingweight, it just changes the balance. Adding a leather grip or other weight at the handle will not change the swingweight very much at all, because the swingweight tries to measure the energy needed to move the mass located 4" from the butt of the racquet out to the top of the racquet head.

Balance does change the "feel" of the racquet and adding weight at the handle will usually add stability to volleys, where the racquet is not being swung (when done correctly), but mostly pressed forward nearly parallel to the net.

No matter what you do with the weight, the stiffness difference between the two will always make them quite different. The dense string pattern of the Prestige will also contrast with the open pattern of the Wilson.

But so what? Try stuff out and go with your personal preference.
