Seriously, how can anyone like watching Sharapova matches, her forehand is all loopy and ugly, her strokes can be very average, if Henin is 100 percent, no way that Sharapova wins tomorrow!!!!!Again, i hope no strong winds!!!
Shrapova's forehand loopy? She was hitting it pretty flat in the match I saw

I'M GLAD TO HEAR YOU SAY THAT. YOU HAVEN'T BEEN RIGHT YET. ALREADY MAKING EXCUSES.

Hey breaker, she leaves it very short, its ugly!!!!!!!I am not making excuses, i give her credit for the putting the ball in play and handling the windy conditions.

i hope ace is right and there are no strong winds. especially with the long swings that both girls take. i would hate to see a sloppy final. the weather has caused enough havoc at this open. pray for a calm, clear day/night.

Damn. One more day of shrieks in NYC. After Rabbit's post about the rules regarding complaints, I am waiting eagerly for some tennis player to have the guts to go to the chair and say, "Can you tell her to tone it down a bit? I would like to hear the ball." If no one else, at least Martina Navratilova would be pleased.

Now that Davenport is just about gone, I think Sharapova is the best ball striker in the WTA. The reason Mauresmo and Henin are ranked ahead of her is because of their great athleticism. Sharapova can hardly move around the court.

I like many others picked Sharapova to win, but she'll need a lot of luck against Henin.

Maria can't beat the Henin magic. She made the best tennis of Jankovic's life disappear.

Unless Henin retires.

If you didn't notice, many of sharapova's shots were landing pretty close to the baseline, and taking Amelie off balance helping her spray those groundstrokes.

BTW...didn't you pick M to win? And now you're going with JHH?I just want to clarify.

Yes i did pick M to win and was very dissapointed with how she played, too many errors.Maria played ok but its not like she played great, she served well and waited for Mauresmo too fall apart.

As heated and as polarized as some of the posts in this thread are (and others like it), I think it's pretty awesome that there is this much discussion and interest in a semi-final of a women's event. This is one of the things that makes tennis such a great sport. I can't think of any other sport where, I'm assuming, a majority male audience is able to appreciate women playing in.
