Mayami strings

Just to give an update on this after a few weeks of using it regularly: I swear by this. I don't want anything else. I've adjusted the tension to 23/22 but that's it.
Thanks for sharing this. I tried this combo yesterday for a match and really liked it. BS 17/HGS 16L @ 50/48. Great control, power and spin on Speed Pro 2022

Does anyone know whether they are available in the U.K./Europe? Haven’t seemed to be able to see Mayami from my quick Googling…

EDIT: Thanks for the answers everyone. Should have seen the redirect link from their US website

This is Big Spin and what is HGS? Hyper G? I have 2 new Speed Pro's and still playing with strings too, to find best fit for this racquet.

How is the tension maintenance of hit pro? And anyone can make a comparison of Hit pro and luxilon element? They feel somewhat similar (soft round smooth copoly) so quite curious to hear how they stack up

hit pro is probably stiffer. Havent tried Luxilon Element but I've heard its soft kinda similar to Signum Pro Firestorm. Hit Pro is stiffer more similar in stiffness to strings like Alu Power or Original, PTP. I like it

So far, I've hit with a full bed of Hit Pro once (and another time as a hybrid with Tour Hex (mains) and Hit Pro (crosses)).

Strung Hit Pro at 50 lbs and it felt similar to PolyTour Pro 1.25 (as galapagos stated). It has a decent amount of power compared to full bed Tour Hex. Tension maintenance: for me, I had around 3-4 hours play time with it (1 singles, 1 doubles match) and by the 3rd time I tried to play with it, it was way too loose for me.

What racket did you string hit pro in? 4 hours sounds like Alu Power tension maintenance

2022 Ezone 98.

As for tension maintenance, I wonder if the cause of the drop off was the temps rising from 40 degrees to 65 from when I first strung it and the last time I hit with it. For example, I also string Diadem Solstice Power/Evolution hybrid and I had to up the tension by 4 pounds with the warmer temps.

Currenlty, my second racquet has Poly Tour Strike at 54 lbs (I string on a eCP machine) with the warmer temps and it’s perfect.

I used the hit pro in the ezone 100 @50lbs and really liked the feel and power level. Unfortunately I had to cut it off after 5 hrs because I wanted a fresh string job for a tournament so I couldn’t determine how Long the strings willl last

wondering if others have similar experience where the tension drops off a cliff after 4-5hrs

I have a good amount of Tour Hex left in my reel, I just purchased a few different multis to try out since I wanted more power/feel. Has anyone tried a multi/TH hybrid? If so did you use TH is the mains or crosses and what tension for each?

I have X1, Velocity, Multifeel, and RPX.

I already get a lot of spin via technique so I think I’ll be okay if I don’t use full poly.

I previously strung up a Pure Drive Tour ‘21 with Yonex Dynawire mains with Tour Hex crosses, 55/51. Last night I decided to string 16ga Velocity mains - I will see how it feels.

My last tinkering with TH crosses and Multi mains includes:
~ Main: Mayami Perfection 60 / Cross: Tour Hex 38
~ Main: Klip Natural Gut 17g 65 / Cross: Tour Hex 38
~ Main: Tier One Test Multi 54 / Cross: Tour Hex 39

Not a Tour Hex hybrid but I feel likeSolinco’s Vanquish is a great 16g multi for a hyrbid cross. I love it with Tour Bite in the mains and it holds up surprisingly well. I get about 10-12 hours in a 16x20 pattern before the Vanquish breaks.

Vanquish in the crosses? I’ll check it out!

Can’t wait to hear how it is!

It feels pretty sweet! I'm not too familiar with multis (typically gut/poly) - but Velocity + Tour Hex felt much better than Dynawire + Tour Hex.
Since it is in a 16/19 and my main stick is an 18/20, I had plenty of loopy spin with the Pure Drive Tour. I had a lot of fun with this hybrid.

Has anyone ordered from the American site recently? Now payment seems to be PayPal only, separately from the order itself.

Yes, it’s very strange but it works. You have to email them once you’ve paid thru PayPal

Yes!!! Glad they finally went with PayPal. Banks were charging additional exchange fees on top of the previous processor's (FOUDY) fee. The fees were varying depending on the bank and the world market.

I got a card :Scotia Bank VISA Passport Infinite, apparently with no exchange fees and free for one year, for cases like this or when travelling abroad.

I love Tour Hex, my favorite string but am fiending for more power… you may have come up with something. Was going to hybrid it with a multi, but I may buy HP and try your setup.
I bet natural gut would be a nice cross too. Hit pro will be nice and cheap though if you can restring often.

Also at 47/44, I prefer it in all frames even over gut/poly hybrids, or full bed gut.
I’ve been enjoying 4G x NG lately too. Consistent. I have a string job from last November and it’s still hitting great. Great combo. Gonna give full bed 4G a go again too.
Re: full bed gut, tl;dw: fb ng is too inconsistent due to string movement.

wait, TH mains and with NG crosses? I have a few packs of Luxilon NG. I’ve found NG added too much power and removed a lot of spin when I had it as a main crossed with Kirsch Max Power Rough. I’ve only used full bed Tour Hex and full bed Head Lynx Tour, like both a lot but again fiending for more power but don’t want to lose that spin potential. Also don’t want to be wasting string jobs using NG lol

Correct me if I’m wrong but TH Mains will bring out more qualities of TH and add some power with the NG cross.

Yes I would expect the same. I’d expect good touch/feel too from the NG

please report back on your findings :)
If not I’m sure I will within the next couple months

natural gut is a waste with any Kirschbaum string imho…

I tried that same specific hybrid and it was absolute dogshit compared to an ALU Power Rough hybrid

Oh interesting take! Yeah I hated it  definitely not the combo for me.

That being said I'm dropping off the following to my stringer today to get strung with FB of TH: Prestige Tour 2021, RS 305, VCP 97D, VCP 97H

FB TH @ 52/48has been my go-to setup so trying all these racquets I'm going to use what I've been familiar with then whichever ones I like the feel of the best and if I'm still fiending for more power I'll do the TH x NG.

Question, why do you prefer NG on the crosses? Too powerful as mains?

I heard they notch less on the crosses

I feel like crosses support the main strings the way they are structured (they weave around the mains) so I felt having the more buttery, elastic string would make the better cross.

The stringing job costs me $20 though...Be it just the cross.

Yeah you’ll have to consider what’s worth it.

for example, if a full bed poly setup costs $10 in string + $20 labor, and lasts 10 hours, but a NG hybrid costs $30 in string + $20 labor and lasts 20 hours, you might come out on top in dollar cost

Also intangibles if natural gut helps arm problems, or whatever
