Which strings have you tried? Tour Hex and Hepta power are pretty low powered but Magic Twist and Hit Pro have some juice to themI can't play with mayami strings at all.
I haven't tried it yet, but I do have a stick with Absolute Perfection mains in Tour Hex crosses in a 16x20 Pure Strike VS. Nothing really special as far as I can tell since I generally play the set up probably once a week and prefer my Absolute Perfection/Big Spin set up.
I ordered a reel of Absolute Perfection on November 11, they shipped on November 18, got them on December 4. I wasn't all that surprised it took that long with COVID impacting logistics and Ukraine having some newsworthy issues. Then again, I was in no rush. My reel smelled weird so (per some of the comments on this thread) it was likely shipped shortly after being extruded.
Is the Mayami AP powerful compared to other multifilaments?I ordered reel of Tour Hex and Hit Pro over Black Friday weekend. Last time I ordered a reel of Absolute Perfection and it took about 3 weeks to arrive.
Do you know if they gave a reason for discontinuing it?Absolute Perfection is no longer available. IMHO, the string was almost like NXT, cheaper and more durable. It seemed less powerful, albeit a little stiffer until break-in, but definitely more raw power than other similarly priced multis.
I'm guessing that it didn't take off as fast as the company wanted it. Just an FYI, they will be closing their USA warehouse in the next month or two and shipping only from Poland per a note last week, I think it was.Do you know if they gave a reason for discontinuing it?
Couldn't make out any difference between Machete and Tru Pro Firewire. Same super sharp triangular strings that will destroy tennis balls within half an hour of baseline groundstroke hitting. No idea how to enter the code for "Buy two reels 200m and get one Free. Code : B2G1"
Also, how is Machette, as Tour Hex is out of stock (and I also would get Big Spin)?
I had read that thanks. Is Machete / Tour Hex remotely as good as Big Spin / Tour Hex, or similar to Hit Pro full bed, or even gut/ Hit Pro?Couldn't make out any difference between Machete and Tru Pro Firewire. Big spin is very good string and very comfortable.
I've played Tour Hex full bed and Big Spin x Tour Hex (best hybrid setup) and Machete x Tour Hex.

Unfortunately, no. I really liked the Big Spin x Tour Hex hybrid more and have kept one left.I had read that thanks. Is Machete / Tour Hex remotely as good as Big Spin / Tour Hex, or similar to Hit Pro full bed, or even gut/ Hit Pro?
They are out of Tour Hex. I guess that I can always get 3 reels of Big Spin( as I also have tons of Hit Pro and one reel of Hepta Power), but only if the code works (3 for 2), as there is no place to enter it. I've emailed them.Unfortunately, no. I really liked the Big Spin x Tour Hex hybrid more and have kept one left.
The Machete x Tour Hex hybrid was similat to the Tru Pro FireWire Boost (Firewire x Ghost Wire hybrid set), but less comfortable and less powerful.
These two Δ-shaped strings play better at low tensions with something like Ghost Wire in the crosses. They are super sharp and feel stiff-ish. If you play with lots of spin on everything, they're Cheat-Code, but you'll need to change balls more frequently for sure.
They deserve a try for sure, but I wouldn't go and buy a whole reel before trying a set for myself. Blind commitment.
