Maybe Agassi is playing better in his new Adidas shoes and clothes? (Spoiler)

I just saw the news that Agassi crushed his first round opponent, Jean-Rene Lisnard of France, at the Mercedes-Benz Cup, 6-1, 6-0, wearing his new tidy Adidas gear. I can't remember the last time he crushed an opponent that badly wearing his old Nike shoes and clothes. And this with a suspect back injury. So what's the deal? Is Agassi playing better tennis in his new Adidas outfit? Do shoes and clothes make any difference at all? So maybe switching from Nike to Adidas was the right move for him. ;)

Yep, its the shoes which costed agassi that 1 game (6-1, 6-0). hahah

i think firstly hes just excited to be back he usually has started off pretty strong and refreshed after a layoff. the second thing is he played a qualifier who didnt even qualify he got in the main draw becuz so many players withdrew

agassi is wearing Adidas ClimaCool Feather II Men's Shoes Wh/Bk the same shoe as coria
i have a feeling sales of this shoes will go through the roof i already have a pair and i can see why andre is playing in them

He beat *Lisnard*. I wouldn't read too much into that result. Let's see whether he can win LA, and what he does in Montreal first.

In the sports page yesterday it said with new endorsements Andre is 40+ mil per year in endorsements. That's some serious scratch.

my sentiments exactly...it's not the first time though...I remember him taking the LM Instinct out when the clay season started...

Does anyone know why he does this? He seems to be the only one doing it...

Although it makes sense to me...to use a more power-oriented racquet on surfaces like clay, and a more control-oriented racquet on faster surfaces...

i think he went to the instinct for more power, i think he age and lack of speed might not let him play control points as much as he used too...

It has nothing to do with the aparell, it's his game he has been going hard on training before wimbledon but he looked better on NIKE

You guys are being silly. One's shorts and shirts have very little to do with one's performance. Yes, some shirts are better at wicking sweat. Shoes, on the other hand, are relatively important. What the hell is Agassi doing wearing dark colors on a hot day?
