Holmes: Thing is, you know where every ball is going to go even before either of them hit it. Their patterns are repeated constantly. That wasn't the case yesterday, hence more interesting yesterday too.

Good thing about matches between extremely good defensive players on a very slow surface is that you can get some chores done during the first 10-20 strokes of the rally.

The ump must be a *********, giving Rafa a time violation warning when he knows that it will only fire up Rafa and make him play better.

Murray's game plan yesterday seemed to be hitting to Nadal's BH as much as possible before exploiting the gap on the FH side. Today it looks like Ferrer is keen on making Nadal hit FHs instead of BHs... Nadal also let Ferrer off the hook many times in that first set. Not a good match so far with both players making life easy for each other.

Nadal back to pusher mode.

Ferrer now is looking as aggressive as Murray yesterday. Nadal continues to push his way through the clay, through the dust and patches of difficulties coming in waves and storms in his path. Pushing is the way, pushism the religion. Push the way to victory. **** Best Class.
