Mcenroe brothers pick Fed

The crowd will be pro-Federer but by no means anti-Nadal.
I posted a clip where the 2017 AO audience overwhelmingly cheered for Roger when Rafa double faulted, which is ghetto behavior from any tennis crowd anywhere (even in Davis Cup). That's the epitome of being anti Nadal. Applauding a DF hardly happens even with Nick, much less an ATG like Rafa. And the Wimbledon establishment crowd are always 98% Fed. So you damn well better believe the semifinal will have a 90/10 pro-Fed split. He's almost 38, this is his last realistic chance and the crowd will do anything to help Roger.

Will it affect Nadal? Probably not. But "probably" is no "certainty."

The 2017 AO crowd was 85/16 for Fed, as is shown here dramatically at 11:24 when he double faults and the crowd absolutely ERUPTS:

Becker and Wilander both said on Eurosport this morning that the crowd will be a factor and they think it will be 95% for Roger. That can help Roger, never doubt it.
LOL.. The crowd at the French was even more Fed than at Wimbledon. Doubt it affects Rafa that much

based on form alone, Nadal is the favorite.

he would be an absolute favorite, for the entire tournament, if he would learn to do a consistent BH slice return on the deuce side of the court!

don't understand why he hasn't???

Why do you think the crowd will be Pro Fed?

Hence the panic about the possible fallout should Fedr lose. I prefer to contain my emotions or expectations until the result.
There's no fallout.

At 38 he's reached SF FO Wimb he's in the

top 3 won miami dubai final in Indian Wells.

Fall out: 1st round AO 2016 3rd round FO 2016 1st round wimb 2013 2nd round USO 2015 and the many RR at WTF.

Keep in mind: Fed's grass (2 events a year) career is superior than Nadal's HC career.

Rafa is a far more accomplished player on grass than Federer is on clay.
But this also means Fed had tougher opponent on clay, than Rafa had on grass. Rafa on grass is stopped by anyone, Fed was only stopped by one guy on clay, so yeah on paper Rafa is better, but in context, I think Fed is better on clay than Rafa is on grass, because Fed has beaten tougher opponents on clay than Rafa did on grass.

Exactly.

Nadal has been vulturing titles on clay for over a decade now against weak clay competition. I mean he literally just vultured a slam vs 0 FO, 0 clay masters Thiem lol. There is no big 3 on clay. Nadal is using the Fedovic name to falsely elevate his weak era achievements on clay. Its like a badminton player saying hey look I am the GOAT badminton player cos I beat Nadal at badminton... just using Nadal's name.

Federer has played RG 18 times and he's lost to Rafa there only 6 times. How has Federer been stopped at RG by only one guy? How? Federer had played at RG for 6 years before ever playing Rafa there for the first time in 2005. In those 6 years, he made the QF once.

Exactly. Fed being stopped only by Nadal at clay is a big tennis myth. Fed is yet another player Nadal has been vulturing slams off in this weak clay era. I mean don't get me wrong it is nowhere near as bad as Nadal vulturing 2x French Open's off 0 FO 0 clay masters 0 weeks at no 1 Thiem but still its part of Nadals weak clay era. Major sporting fraud

Those years weren't Fed's prime.

It's not a myth, in his prime, Nadal was the only one stopping Fed. But prime Nadal on grass is more prone to losses to lesser guys.

It turns out the McEnroe brothers aren't as stupid as many here would have us believe.
Both right on the final outcome, if not on the exact score.
