Measuring strings for a 95. How short can I go?

I would like to know how short I can cut my string length. I am trying to maximize my reel. Any stringers out there or people with experience here.
Thanks

String pattern, type of string, and tension?

Fischer m-comp95 has a 16-19 pattern. Looking at buying luxilon original, tenision 47-50.

thanks

36ft would be safe. Might be able to go 34 or 35ft if your stringer is a crank type and you can get the gripper closer to the frame. It's a poly so it won't stretch too much. GL!

Take your reel length and divide by the string length. If it's 660', 36' vs 36.5' will still result in 18 string jobs. LUX does not stretch at all when stringing (less than 2%) so I would rather err with 36.5' or 37' first and see if there is any left. Then I would adjust the next string job's length.

Oh nice. I was thinking 36.5. Thanks man.

if you're doing a 2 pc job, you'll need 18' for the mains. you'll need 16' for the 16 mains + 1' tail on either side to tie off. you might get away w/ 17.5' if you have a starting clamp that you can use as a bridge. 17' will work for the crosses. if you use a starting knot with a short tail you might be able to get away w/ 16-16.5'. so 35' will get it done. if you're experienced, you can probably get by w/ 34'.

The M-Comp 95 is set up nicely for 1 piece (mains finish at the top), although (obviously) you can two if you want. When I used this racquet, the majority of my string jobs were 2pc: gut mains, poly crosses. But when I did do 1pc, I was able to get away with as little as 33ft (8.5 ft on short side). However, with Lux original, I'd start with 36 (9ft on short side) and measure how much is left over. That stuff stretches about as much as Kevlar.

Great frame, BTW. Have you modified it at all? I put two 2" strips of lead in the throat and found it increased stability & plow through.

1 or 2-piece? I would start at 38ft and see how much you have leftover. Polys don't stretch as much as multis. For example, I do 2-piece on a Babolat APD and I pull 18ft for Xcel mains, 17ft for Xcel crosses. But for stringing Blast, it's 19ft for mains and 18ft for crosses.

Yes this racquet is meant to be strung with one peice. I don't do hybriding so I'll do test run and see what I can get away with. I put some lead on 10 and 2 and it made it better for head spead. I'm adding some more currently to make it swing faster. Thanks for the input, much appreciated.
