Medvedev quits match with no explanation

All my friends IRL who like him are big time Trumpers too. They love that he's crass and ungentlemanly, that's a feature not a bug

Do they also love that he lies and makes up his own 'facts' all the time or do they really believe he's completely honest and informed???

The simple reason Med went out the way he did was because he was really really concentrating on not sh@tting live on court.

Diarrhoea and food poisoning can be crazy like that
lol he slowly and delicately packed up his tennis bag and walked off. If it was that big of an issue why not just sprint to the bathroom?

I’d actually buy this if it were a player with a pattern of respectful behavior. Everyone has bad days. Medvedev on the other hand lost the benefit of any doubt YEARS ago when it comes to sportsmanship

I don't stereotype character by nationality.
Except when implying that "the West" is at the root of an individual player's problematic behavior. But I suppose that's OK because you can add or remove any specific countries you please. "I didn't intend to include Iceland when I attacked the decadence of 'the West.'"

It's hard to say bc they don't really answer any of the criticisms or questions. They just deflect back onto "The Left" or "Deep State" or whatever.

When they do that, I conclude that they know they can't defend what he's doing, so that's all they have.

I was actually quoting "the progressive West", not endorsing it, as someone previously used the term to explain Med and Russia.

How does hatred feel Kral?

He just posted he had food poisoning:

"Unfortunately I had food poisoning. I'm very disappointed to end my run here in Doha like this as I feel like I was playing well. I look forward to coming back next year"

Actually if Meddy and Tsitsi don't get their acts together soon I believe that retirement will be on the agenda for both. IMO it's just a question of how low they will sink before they decide on that option.
That is my worry as well. Especially for medvedev who is behaving like bublik nowadays

A wrong and stupid decision by Wimbledon that they soon regretted and reversed the following year despite the political circumstances not changing.
Yep, I hope I'll never have to meet the folks in charge of Wimbledon... something seriously wrong with them (n)

Wimbledon should have talked to Trump, they would have realized this was actually all Ukraine's fault and would've banned them instead
Well he's right, this war was all 100% avoidable

What was laughable and ironic was that they used the excuse that a Russian winning the tournament would hand a propaganda victory to Putin and then Russian-born Rybakina went on to win the ladies' title. Like Putin wouldn't or couldn't have used that if he wanted!

If you met him in person and had that opinion this would not be about politics in the largest possible sense, but we are all just watching a screen.

I dont care if hes Russian or American or from Mars. Hes an a-hole. Not everything has to be about politics. He is a terrible sportsman. Period.

You are just pointing to the fact that culture and sport are effectively conscripted to fight. I would prefer to keep the demarcation lines in operation.

Churchill's legacy makes the English much better at spotting the next Hitler than we are

Medvedev is an intriguing fellow. His interviews are always among the best, he's articulate and never dull. He's obviously very intelligent, but he's capable of the most bizarre behaviour too.

I like him a lot better off court and I also like that he discusses tactics in interviews

Or a story about Medvedev pursuing a girl he knew was underage, while in town for the USO, with his GF back home. He's not a good person and your attempt to blame that on "The West" is just an indicator of how this socialist/leftist thinking is total brain rot
I believe I blocked Bartelby back in 2011. :-D :-D

What's not to like?:
