I want piece and free public courts, not war and missles.
Jeez, I don't know what hurt me, or how living the U.S and being called a savage might have given me the impression of anti Balkan and anti Eastern European sentiment. While the countries of those that are proper and prim and call people like me out for being butchers go around invading and killing thousands per week in most years. You're not even trying to make any connection to the topic or any point anymore - just trying to repeat that there are anti-russian or anti-eastern europe sentiments.
I don't know what hurt you and that regard and I am genuinely sorry if you experienced that on some occasion.
But you should just believe if tennis fans here repeatedly say that they dislike Med's behavior and not his nationality, that they can think for themselves.
Again - there's plenty of athletes that don't behave poorly and are loved by the majority of fans.
Such as are European and American athletes that are not liked anywhere, simply for being of the same behavior as the examples we are talking about.
Why should I ever read anything from a person whose name is "yourtennisfit." You are barely able to write, let alone use grammar. You're not even trying to make any connection to the topic or any point anymore - just trying to repeat that there are anti-russian or anti-eastern europe sentiments.

Why big country is a problem? We are a large, very rich country. We sell oil, gas and other natural resources for billions. We can afford building a free public court everywhere. Once again - 3150 public courts or one military church? I don't understand what are we arguing about.Russia is a very big country. Thats the problem. It will allways be a very problematic and poor place. So dont wait for free corts ))

So, we have so much in common right there-people and tennis. I've met a lot of people on the courts and around the world. From my very experience, some with smiles that appear well behaved are at times the least sincere ones that you'd ever meet. Daniil may be more honest than the half of top 100 tennis players in the ATP and yet so many people will never be able to see that as they are too busy to judge his gestures on the courts. I really don't think that that's fair for people who love people and tennis.I love people and love tennis. However, I don't why everybody loves Mededev's honesty. Is it good to be honest and scream at people? There is honesty and there is bad behaviour. He is not honest, he is just spoiled.
Sorry but I think they moved that large camera to the court, behind the baseline. It truly was in the way which Meddy saw, complained about but was not listened to. Yeah, you're right though that a few other layers in quarters and semis had that cameraman in their faces so not only Meddy was "sabotaged" (sorry strong word from me there). Worth noting that Meddy is one of very few players who plays, receives service, from far off the baseline. In any case, I just brought that up for the reason to show how some recent events from the ATP tour have affected the fine Russian player. You guys cannot be serious that camera was there for EVERY player, EVERY match at the exact same place.
How is that sabotaging Medvedev?
I still don't get your point. So you say that he is honest and he can show middle fingers to the crowd, throw coins to the umpire and call him a p..ssy and so on? You call this honesty? So if I talk to you and show you a finger, spin in your face and tell you - at least, I am honest - would that be Ok? This has nothing to do with honesty. Nothing at all.So, we have so much in common right there-people and tennis. I've met a lot of people on the courts and around the world. Ok . Lets make it like this . Military church or 10 children hospitals ? Why do you need tennis courts if so many children could gain help ? As you can see this type of logic wont help to build free tennis courts , as there is always will be more important thingsWhy big country is a problem? We are a large, very rich country. I'd like to see you telling Russians that in the face. Better than that, I'd love you to tell Medvedev in his face those exact words. How fast can you run?Russia is a very big country. Thats the problem. It will allways be a very problematic and poor place. So dont wait for free corts ))
Do you think Russians doesn't know this ?=)) and Medvedev is a rich man and will not live in Russia , most likely in some country with a warm climate =))I'd like to see you telling Russians that in the face. I am really sorry you don't. This is where I have to accept my losses and say we are disconnected unfortunately. My humble opinion is that judging our stars' characters in the heat of the game and then search for honesty in the cameras stuck to the players' faces is hardly objective. I don't know if you or any other TTW users have ever been pro athletes and have dealt with the cameras but I have; and I know how ****ty it feels when every word you say is under the microscope. It's a lot tougher for the pro athletes than the policians who get the comfort of staged interviews or cheating screens hidden in front of them so that they can reply to questions with words from their "writers".I still don't get your point. I see. So, there you have your rights to judge him, even though he does his job on the court so very well.Do you think Russians doesn't know this ?=)) and Medvedev is a rich man and will not live in Russia , most likely in some country with a warm climate =))
Did I tell you that I want tennis courts instead of hospitals? I told you about tennis courts because we are on tennis forum. My only logic - spend money on people, not on guns. We have enough guns without producing them more. But they are still spending so much money on military. In addition, they are closing hospitals in small towns and villages because they cost too much. They don't have money, you know...Ok . Lets make it like this . Military church or 10 children hospitals ? Why do you need tennis courts if so many children could gain help ? This is true. Families and children of our politicians live in Europe, England and USA. They know the best places to live in.He lives in Monte Carlo already =))
Military its not only a defense system .Its a business. Russia has 2 place in the world for selling weapons after USA. Thats alot of budget money . Russia sells what Russia can do best oil gas weapons , its a truth of life ... of course it’s bad that the social sphere is not developed ... But at least you have free medicine . Bad or good i don't know , but for example USA has a very expensive medicine ... There are always some tradeoffsDid I tell you that I want tennis courts instead of hospitals? 1. Doing military business and spending tax money of your people on military is not the same. Agree?Military its not only a defense system .Its a business. In former USSR countries if you tell somebody that someone plays tennis after 50 they will laugh at you and that it is a joke. Because if you are still alive after 50 - that is a great achievement! I am not joking. This sounds like a joke, but it is not. There are always some tradeoffs
That's actually very very true. Russians' lifespan's bout 55 or so. Also, in many eastern EU nations people don't usually live long life.In former USSR countries if you tell somebody that someone plays tennis after 50 they will laugh at you and that it is a joke. It is not just about how long people live. Here after age of 50 you are like a ********. To tell someone that you play tennis after 50 is like giving a birth at 80. There is no sport culture here, no gym, no workouts, just sleep, eat etc.. We are a different planet, it is hard to understand this for people from Europe and USA.That's actually very very true. It is not about respect. At all. When I was in US i watched 60 years old guys roller skating. Or I see people here of same age taking tennis lessons. It is just unthinkable, beyond belief here...Always thought older people were treated with more traditional respect in Russia than here in the West.

Hey, you forgot that we don't have public tennis courts and almost nobody can afford tennis clubs. Moreover, because they grew up with no public tennis courts so they don't even know what is tennis. They grew up playing soccer but they don't play it. Even after 40. They stay at home. Eat. Drink. Drink 500ml of vodka per person per night. Not all. But many. This is a different world. Truly different world.impossible to play tennis after 50 ? Man its a bit oversaturation ... Go to any tennis club and ask how many people play tennis after 50 and you will be surprised =)) 50 is a pretty young age ... may be you mean after 65 or 70
That's why I love US guys because you play tennis and enjoy it after 40, 50, 60. I love this and admire this. This inspires me. That's why I love this forum. Soviet Era brought many bad cultural deviations to our people. One of them is being negative, quarelling with others, yelling, shouting. Like Med does.impossible to play tennis after 50 ? I might know one of the reasons you don't have so many public courts .Russia is a cold country. summer is ok +25 but on winter you get something like -30 -20 . You cant create a public courts for such rude conditions , its not like Spain where you get +25 whole year . So you cant play on winter time and can only play on summer ... thats pretty limited time for a court ...And you need to maintain the court during winter .So that's might be the problem alsoforgot that we don't have public tennis courts and almost nobody can afford tennis clubs.
Russia is very large and weather can be very different. I lived one year in MA, many public courts and weather is colder than in my place.I might know one of the reasons you don't have so many public courts .Russia is a cold country. summer is ok +25 but on winter you get something like -30 -20 . Maybe tennis is not so popular in Russia ?Corruption. This is the only reason. Land costs money.
Well, if you don't have public courts and only very rich people how can it be popular? You need to build courts first, correct?Maybe tennis is not so popular in Russia ?

This is true. Families and children of our politicians live in Europe, England and USA. They know the best places to live in.
What I like about our medicine is that I can go to a hospital or a polyclinics (pre hospital place where they just diagnose problems), give a bribe and get help immediately. In USA, as far as I know, you can wait 2-3 month to just get a doctor checkup.
What's driven Daniil's parents to bring their son to the top of tennis world is probably what is driving Vlad to protect his nation, or what's left of it. Yes, safeguarding as any prospective NATO nukes at the Ukrainian-Russian boarders are basically a stone's throw from Moscow which I believe you know too. Given that just about 3 decades ago those nukes were at the German-Czech boarders instead, gives it a bit more to think about than that "revanchism, "nostalgia" or "America's influence in Easter Europe". This isn't about "backfired plans" or "bromance with Xi" but security of the reduced nation that's been attempting to do business with the west. The American administration has had a tough time to compromise the Russian gas pipeline to Germany but with the Ukainian help and its own nuclear power sleepy Joe's masters are joyful. Geopolitics can be extremely complex but at times so easy to decipher. Have a better look at who/what's "dividing the EU/NATO" alliance! The EU nations will never forget their history that 3 out of the last 4 American presidents have not been able to understand well enough. Me think Daniil Medvedev's as p*ssed on the courts as many Russians reading the western news.On the Ukraine situation, Soviet revanchism/nostalgia is indeed part of what's driving Putin, but his real endgame was/is to reduce America's influence in Eastern Europe by dividing the EU/NATO and pitting the member states against each other. So far that plan has backfired spectacularly, though after yesterday's show of bromance with Xi he may still go ahead with the invasion.
Yet i bet that this is a political game and there is no invasion is coming .
What does my respect have to do with people and what they do? I can respect them as much as I respect Nadal but will it change anything?Seems you don't respect what older people are capable of in Russia.
This game has already started in Crimea and Donbas of Ukraine. Doodlyd has missed some events. If its a game, what is then the aim of it?
NonP described it very well.If its a game, what is then the aim of it?
I don't think so.
To isolate Russia from other nations, cripple its economy so that fingers could be pointed on how poorly its government is running the affairs, and to destroy any traces of communism that're left there. If its a game, what is then the aim of it?
I did not get your last paragraph. Please explain.I don't think so.

Which "paragraph"? What do you want explained?I did not get your last paragraph. Please explain.
This? It's a sentence that's self-explanatory. Sorry my Russian's a bit rusty. To isolate Russia from other nations, cripple its economy so that fingers could be pointed on how poorly its government is running the affairs, and to destroy any traces of communism that're left there.
Yes, the last one. Nobody wants to isolate Russia. Rest of the world needs gas, oil, natural resources etc.Which "paragraph"? What do you want explained? This? It's a sentence that's self-explanatory. Sorry my Russian's a bit rusty.

Marat Safin was very popular with the Australian Open crowd. He's Russian.
Nationality has got sod all to do with it.
So, you knew it was the sentence, not paragraph, that you wanted explained; and you clearly understood what that sentence, not paragraph, meant. Yet, you had to askYes, the last one. Nobody wants to isolate Russia. Rest of the world needs gas, oil, natural resources etc.
There is no communism in Russia. Autoritarism and capitalism is what we have.
