Of course
Arod's forehand looks so heavy in those clips, wonder if he changed his set-up or something later on because even in matches where he's going for it the weight of shot just doesn't seem the same...

Good use of angles and ability to switch defence to offense here. Don't see that side of Roddick as often imo.

Roddick was kinda weak indoors for his standards but he didn't really mind whether the courts were slow or fast in the way Medvedev does. He had a lot of success in Miami for example and I wager Medvedev would be pretty ineffective on mid 00's RA.
Fair to say Roddick adapted to slow HCs better still don't think there's an appreciable difference in their ability to thrive on a diverse set of HCs once you factor in indoors. I guess you can nitpick either way but I don't think it's significant.

Fair enough. Tbf in Roddick's two best years the YEC was outdoors, granted he didn't light it up in the masters but it would have been interesting to see him play on indoor HC in front of the home crowd in 2003-2004.

I don't think is a particularly fair critique. It's not like Roddick didn't also prefer fast HCs. Plus Med is the better indoor player so if anything the range of HCs he excels on is more diverse.
What? Roddick could actually play well on slower HC too.

Would like to see that if you can find it.
