No-one reasonable does, no. But we both know that what passes for 'reasonable' on here can vary widely from poster to poster.

A a matter of interest, when was the last time YOU ever defended Murray from unfair criticism instead of always jumping in to attack ME whenever I does so?

I defended his record against his fellow best players recently saying counting all his losses to Federer/Djokovic in 2014 against him now as #2 wasn't fair on him.

I won't pretend I go out of my way to defend the guy, nor do I jump on you every time you do so. Murray is either wildly overrated or underrated to crazy degrees. I tend to notice when people compare him to Becker and Edberg where as you notice when people make out he couldn't play his way out of a paper bag.

My issue is with the recency bias on this forum with the underrating of past legends. Yours is with a group of haters that pretty much dislike anyone who has ever beaten Federer in a big match.

My only issue with you has been that I find you take what I say the wrong way

I am a natural defender. I will jump to the defence of ANY player who I think is being unfairly put down, not just Murray. I think it is important to answer these type of posters rather than just ignore them in the assumption that everyone else knows the truth because newer or more impressionable posters or those not as well versed in the details of players' careers may assume that these criticisms have some validity unless they are refuted.

Players like Federer are so overwhelmingly well known that unfair criticism is like water off a duck's back to them. But players like Murray are not so well known and are much more vulnerable to ignorance or misunderstandings about their careers IMO. That's why I think it is always important, especially in their case, to set the record straight!

To be fair, Murray is very well known and the British media power is vast and hypes him a lot. I don't think you should take the narrow views of this place as a serious reflection of how Murray is viewed. I'm sure most casual fans in the UK at least think Murray is an exceptional player who would have dominated any other era

I'm not so much about defending as I am about having a balanced evaluation of everyone . In any case you won't see me defending certain players because I avoid talking to obvious trolls and idiots.
