4 Unforced errors off the forehand wing to hand Murray the break. That was awful tennis from Gulbis.

He is just a stupid kid on a tennis court. Such a shame his talent or atleast ferocious firepower will never go anywhere. He is new male Mirijana Lucic or Carolina Sprem.

Ticked that Wawrinka lost and Ivo lost. Hate when seeds lose in the 1st round, takes away potentially intriguing matchups in the later rounds.

Yeah, it's a shame. It ruins potential exciting matchups with Murray for both players. Also 3rd round Wawrinka-Cilic would have been nice.

Anyone's got some special advice on 'ones to watch' for tonight (today in your time zone probably).

I'm not going to stay up for Federer I think, which would mean the first set of Grandslam tennis I miss from Federer since the AO third round this year.

your best bet is probably to look at the OOP @ http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=3875455&postcount=249

There are a lot to choose from, so you can pick the ones that interest you most. Matches begin at 11 a.m. New York time, the rest follow, except for some special times for evening-ish! :)

Now that Wawrinka and Karlovic lost Murray's draw is officially a joke.
Did anyone see the Wawrinka match ? What happened. the scoreline shows him winning the first 2, then going down.

Dammmmm, anyway, just kidding ... Murray must be relieved he doesn't have to face Wawa again ;-)

The unborn Wawrinka baby is already a distraction?
Probably not, but i remember people blaming 'the baby' for some of Fed's results earlier in the year.

I have 8 USO channels (DirecTV) and not a single one is showing the Djokovic match.

WHAT IN THE **** is that about?! Maybe I'll just go workout. He's up a break anyway.

I think you've got more important things to worry about right now. Blake is having trouble holding serve and is a break down in the 3rd set after losing the 2nd.

Blake breaks back. On serve in the 3rd.

Yeah, it's weird because I thought he was playing fine tennis in the 1st set and then dropped his level a bit. He's not playing badly now, just very inconsistent on serve + Rochus is playing very well. Hopefully Blake wins this set.

Amazing rally by Blake now.

Fantastic FH winner from Blake to win the 3rd set. This has been the best set so far in the tourney IMO. Pure gold.

Amazing point to finish the set, beautiful match. Those guys are playing some great tennis.

And what gutsy play from Blake to save those MPs.

I think you should add to your signature that Federer also won 18 slams, since Cincy, apparently, is considered a slam.

LOL,maybe I will.We should never let Suresh forget his troll thread epic fail. That turned out to be so funny.

Who cares? If he can still play tennis at this level he's relevant, and fun to watch as well. When his game clicks it's simply beautiful, because he's probably one of the most aggressive players out there.

Did you guys see that insane get Blake made on that drop shot in the second game of the 4th set? Man alive are there more than 4 other players on the tour who would have made that get?

BTW this is why the US Open is far and away my favorite slam.. Aggressive Shots and the transition game to net is REWARDED.

I'll leave the Spaniards and Europeans to dirtball on clay for hours to someone else.

although the Madrid semi was a classic.

Yep. Who knows? Maybe Fed himself read that thread and decided to give Djoko and Murray a serious beating just for winning another slam ;-)

Exactly how I feel. I love the US Open. It's the perfect balance between long rallies and aggressive play.

Best match I've seen live in my life was a Moya-Rochus in a US Open. I'm sure you now understand why... I still think that Rochus is in the top 10 in pure talent... He makes me want to go play now.
