Well I don't typically misweave, but cutting the string in half after I open the package is always a challenge, it always tangles up as I'm uncoiling it.
At least once I cut each set in half, (the cyclone and v-feel) I can do two racquets or one racquet twice.

I heard Luxilon coming out with Natural Gut & the middle of the set is colored green.
Maybe all the strings should have this mark/color indicator to make it easier for us to cut

Now that would be brilliant! Why don't they do that, damn string manufacturers! Surely by now, they realize that hybrid jobs are becoming exceedingly popular as is two piece stringing.

Sooner or later some village idiot would get a set of string with a green smudge on it at cut it at the 30' mark. Then they'd want their ruined set of string replaced because they didn't put the (smudge) green mark there. Then I figure out if I turned in a 10' section of string I could be my set replaced. So I take a 40' section of string, cut it in half and use one half to string a racket. With the other 20' I cut it in half send it back to get 2 more sets of string. One of the 2 new sets I'd use to string 2 rackets and the other set I'd cut in fourths to get four new sets of string. Get the idea?

What's to stop someone from doing that now though? They get impatient trying to untangle the string, cut where they think it's half way and realize they cut it too short, so they go in an demand restitution?
Another option might be, why don't they sell sets of string already pre-cut into 2 20' lengths? That way it's perfect for hybriding. Or at least have the option to buy a full set cut into two lengths.

Bow Brand used to do this. I heard a story that it came about because they were having quality issues producing 40' lengths after the foot and mouth crisis of 2001, and so one of the retailers suggested packaging it as two 20' pieces.
Some idiot would still manage to cut one of the half sets in half again mind...

Glad I don't use natural gut.
Cutting a $9 set of poly a bit too short, not nearly as bad as cutting a set of natural gut too short.

That was a joke but I'd think it they marked a string where it should be cut (and they never will) I would think you could get another set if you asked.

I played on Christmas Eve, and extended my session beyond midnight, so technically I played on Christmas day. For the last 30- 40 minutes I could hear people shooting off fireworks in the distance. Was kind of cool.
