Messed up the ankle really bad, need some advice

Rolled my ankle pretty bad today going for a backhand and can't put much pressure on it at all. I've been icing ever since I hurt it a few hours ago. I really need my ankle to get better fast because of my high school season starting in the next few weeks. Anyone have some good advice?

Try using RICE, go see a doctor ASAP and see how bad it is, im afraid that things like this happen, but you might have to rest for a couple weeks or more...

Good job icing it! continue to ice it for the next two days.

Also take like 4 ibroprofen tonight, but none after. im told its good to load up the day of the injury. And then like 5 days from now when swelling is gone put foot in bucket of warm/hot water for 15 mins and it will bring bloodflow to the area and speed up recover. But no heat for the next few days..may want to wait even a week to use heat.

Put NO WEIGHT on that foot. Use crutches if you have them. Ice for 15 minutes every hour or so. Elevate if you can. Put pressure on it with ACE wrap or a brace. Go see a doctor to get an x-ray. You'll probably need some rehab as soon as you can put weight on it. Good luck on your recovery! I tore a ligament in my ankle and it was a long and difficult process to get it healed but take comfort in that it will heal.

Try to see a specialist if you can instead of a general practice.

After you are cleared to walk, etc... make sure you wear an ankle brace, a good one. TW sells a good one. You ankle will be weak for awhile and this will prevent you from rolling it. Check your shoes, you may want to upgrade to a more stable shoe.

Well, I wear Barricades and they're pretty stable. I think I just lost my footing on the shot. I have ankle braces that I have used before because of rolled ankles but I haven't experienced one like this. Tomorrow, I'm probably seeing my orthopedist so we'll see what he says. My ankles feeling a lot better since I've been icing it ever since I rolled it. Its still swollen but hopefully I can walk on it tomorrow.

One and a half weeks until I could put any sort of weight on it. Two and a half weeks until I could short court. Four weeks until I could play competitively. Five to six weeks until I could play without any pain.
