MgR/I

I am a newby in customizing a racquet and would appreciate any suggestions on how to increase the MgR/I on my racquet.

Specs are:
Static Weight - 339gms
Balance: 32.2cm
SW: 343
MgR/I: 20.31 according to my calculation using Trav's formula.

I have wrapped 8gms of lead tape around the handle 7 inches from the butt.

Thanks

You need to move the balance of the frame more towards 33-33.5 cm. Problem with this is you need to move the 8 grams from near the handle. Aside from the lead, are there any other mods to the frame? Reason is you will need to add lead near the throat to move the balance point and your SW will be affected tho minimally. I would strip the racquet of all mods and get your base mass, balance and SW. Then use the TWU Auto Racquet Customization Tool to give you some numbers to plug into your worksheet for MgR/I when you start to move the balance point.

Thanks for the response.

I don't have any other mods on the racquet apart from the 8gms of lead at 7 inches from the butt which I understand is the best position to get the racquet to swing easier.

Your suggestion to strip everything from the racquet and do a fresh calculation from there could be a good idea.

The best way to get the racket to swing easier is to do nothing. Any mass you add anywhere slows the racket down. You can use this link to easily calculate MmgR/I http://www.racquettune.com/MgR_I/index.php

Just add mass up and down the racket until you get what you want.
