Hello everyone,

Looking at the live WTA ranking (https://live-tennis.eu/en/wta-live-ranking), I see that players are playing the Miami R64.
Looking at the table of the points (http://www.stevegtennis.com/atp-tennis-ranking-points), I see that if a player wins R64 of Masters 1000 (Miami Open is a Masters-1000 tournament), she wins 10 or 25 points. 25 points only if the draw is larger than 56 right? Miami has got a draw of 96S so it's larger than 56 right? Hence a player winning round 64 she'll win 25 points.
So, my question is: why in the live WTA ranking points under the box "Next Points" I see a difference of 55 points?
Example: Halep has got at the moment 8085. If she wins next match, she'll gain 55 points reaching 8140 pts? Also, why is it written that if Halep (just an example) wins the tournament she'll gain 900 points? If you look at the box "Max Pts" it's written 9075. From 8085 to 9075, there's a difference of 900 points. As far as I am aware and according to the table of points, it should be 1000 points.

Could you please clarify it?
Thank you.

You've linked to ATP points. On the wiki (reliable??) for the 2018 Miami Open, WTA players get 35 points for R64 and 65 points for R32, compared to 25 and 45* for men, respectively.

Halep from 8085 to 9075 is 990 points. Not sure where the difference of 10 is coming from. Perhaps because of the first round bye?

Edit: Even the players without byes are listed at +990 for winning the tournament. I am sure someone has the answer but I do not know.

According to Wikipedia -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_Open_(tennis)#Point_distribution -- ATP players get 25 points for R64 and 45 for R32. Not 35 points, as you stated.

PM (64 S) 1000 650 390 215 120 65 10 <- 10 points for "being there" are already booked for all the participants. Cibulkova for example does not earn those 10 points as she's not in.
Actually, Miami Open WTA draw is 94S, not 64S. Thus, it should be 1000 650 390 215 120 65 35 (there is no 128 round). Hence, where are these 10 points you said?
In the live WTA ranking points, any player winning R64 will receive 55 points. I don't get where these 55 pts come from.

Woops typo, thanks.

But there is a R128 at the Miami Open, which is the first round featuring all the non-seeded players. Seems all the players taking part in Miami have already been awarded those 10 points on Live Rankings. So a win in R64 for a seeded player nets them 55 additional points for a total of 65 points.

All right. Thanks, now I understood.
Anyway, I have got a doubt -- after the R128 where all players get 10 pts, there should be a R64. A win in R64 is a total of 35 points. 65 points is for R32....

exactly. my mistake, its of course a S96 event, therefore:
PM (96 S): 1000 650 390 215 120 65 35 10
Q: 30 - 20 2

At the moment, all players passed R128. They got 10 pts (even players with byes given that they, too, receive first round points).
Now they have to play R64 and winners will get 35 points.
Not 65 points (it belongs to R32). Still don't get it, lol.
