Will do, thanks guys. Wonder if I'll be referring to Djokovic as Perfect Cell soon :D:D:D

And make sure you watch stand alone movie Brolly, the legendary super saiyan around the time you are on Cell Games saga.

There was a legendary thread titled "Rafa is FINNISH" which was started in 2012 by one of his own fans - developed into a TTW classic from there, much like The Real Slam and other "only TTW" phenomena

Oh I see. I will have to search for that thread.

What a beast :)
Would he have made it in Madrid? Will he skip there again next month?

Some people are too dumb or stubborn to realize that there are a lot of his fans that don't support him because of his titles, but that's not my problem. :)
I don't think anyone supports Djoko for # of titles. If that's what they're after, they'll support Fed (active player with most titles and most slam titles). The people who support Djoko just like him and/or his style of play. They may have also been won over by the story line: little guy, eternal 3rd wheel manages to topple the 2 giants and threaten their record. It's easy to see the appeal of such a script, a male sports version of Cinderella :)

I hope he will skip again. Given how much he plays in the winter (finals of all 3 tier 1 + either Dubai or Doha), attempting 3 clay masters before RG is pure overdrive. Just too much. I know he didn't win RG last year but that was more due to a combination of: terrible draw, schedule + opponent in final. He still reached the final and in terms of prep before RG, he did the right thing. Get confidence going but do not overplay. Best tactic imo. The last thing he needs is wear himself out before RG.

That's because haters like you cannot imagine liking anything about Novak but actually there is a lot to like about his game, his style, his personality, etc. It's just that you refuse to see it yourself, that's all.

(E) They are attention seekers and needy just like their idol. ;)

But seriously, his style isn't exciting but it's effective and it sure is hard to destroy him. He's like a mosquito that buzzes in your ear and you can't get rid of no matter what you do.

This reminds me of tennis_moron's statement that Novak has no special shots and cannot turn defense to offense in one shot.

You guys are behaving worse than babies. :D

Is that why he's one of the most unpopular #1 players of all time? Come on seriously, I know you like him and he has his fans but he's certainly not a beloved champion considering everything he's achieved. There are a lot of people who find his game very effective but not exciting. Why do you think so many people are begging for a young gun to step up already?

OK. Which one am I? Keep in mind that I am not from Serbia, I was supporting Djokovic here in 2010 and after all those slam final loses to Nadal and Murray, I am not a Fed hater and I am not a Nadal hater. So what is it? A, B, C or D?

A blow to the head perhaps? ;)

Djokovic can extend the rallies for longer than anyone on tour, and the longer the rally goes....the more likely it is that the inferior baseliner will make an unforced error.

I'm not even sure it should be called an "unforced error", because the length of the rally makes their legs and arms weaker and that is because Djokovic can handle that length of rally while the inferior baseliner cannot handle it (Goffin is one of the better baseliners, but he still isn't very good at long baseline rallies when you compare him to Djokovic).

On the most important points of the match (tie-breaker points for example)....Djokovic plays quite defensively because he knows he can win the longest rallies, so he makes it a long rally to ensure that he wins the big point (whereas on less important points Djokovic will look to end the point quicker, often making an error).

That could be it actually. When I was very young, I fell off a swing quite badly, and the back of my head was split wide open. I had to get several stitches. Crazy thing was that the blow was so intense it actually numbed me and I didn't feel the pain, just the fact the t-shirt started turning red told everyone that I needed to go to hospital real quick. So, that would explain it.

Ouch. Sounds horrible. Sorry, didn't mean to hit so close to home. But perhaps that does explain your Djokovic love after all? :) ;)

Don't worry about it, you don't need to apologize. You didn't know, and it was a long time ago. That hit on the head does explain a lot of the insane things I get up to though.

No point in him playing Madrid really - judging from watching TV it the clay tournament which least plays like RG.

He needs a break at some stage - he's got to get tired at some stage....I hope :)
