You are so clueless. LOL. Like I am from Serbia. Novak has style and swag so you really need a new perspective. Many of Djokovic's fans like him for a number of reasons. As much as I liked Federer and Nadal, they just never won me over because they never quite let you in. They have great game but I never really knew who they were really. Djokovic lets his guard down so that you can see his flaws and lets you in. That's the main reason why I like him. Also, our birthdays are 3 days apart, and he was always the underdog and I relate to that as well. I relate to working your ass off to get better so that someday you can be at the top and no longer be in the shadow. I also relate to his bad temper because I have a really bad one as well. That's just a few of the reasons I like him and there are quite a few more. Now, let's get to the reasons why you don't like him: because he is casting a shadow over Federer's dominance, leads the head against Federer and Nadal, has more Aussie titles, and threatens to break more of his records. Does that about cover it?

Why wouldn't I be? :rolleyes: I love watching his point construction and the way he uses his incredible defense. Just because he doesn't constantly play with all out aggression like Federer doesn't mean his fans can't or shouldn't enjoy his style the same way you enjoy watching your favourite. It seems like his domination is really starting to get to you Chanwan - very disappointing.

What makes me laugh is how Novak's biggest haters like @cc0509 can't stand him or the way he plays yet they still watch his matches like clockwork and comment on them as soon as they've finished, as we've seen again tonight. His domination is absolutely driving them up the wall - I love it!! :D

I don't know and I don't care. What I do know is that I enjoy watching Djokovic play and that's all that matters to me. :cool:

First of all I dislike the term "hater." It's annoying. Secondly, I don't hate Djokovic. I'm just not a big fan of his style of play or his on court demeanor. There's a difference. It's not as black and white as you make it seem. You can admire some things about a player but not be completely enamored. It's only entertainment. I don't take it as seriously as fans like you or vero who make it seem like a life or death thing.

All I want are some rivalries at the top of the game and right now we have none. Somebody needs to step up and compete with Djokovic. Nobody seems close.
 
Novak, just too good during important points. Winning the first set was the key in such conditions. No way he was gona win, had he lost the first set. Well done Novak.

Djokovic has said that his h2hs against fedal have helped him. Learned so much from them especially nadal. He is playing just like bull on the big points. It is surreal.
 
I mean, sure, there is plenty to like about Nole. He has a great easy-going personality, he really is a fun guy, he is sporting, honest and I do like his occasional temperament and swearing - trust me, when angry he swears like a truck driver, I speak fluent Serbian. However, he is not immune to criticism, nobody is, and Nole's fans should just lighten up a bit. He is a boring tennis player, which is simply backed up by every match he plays with another boring or even just less exciting player. "Great point construction" and "incredible defense" for instance are just euphemisms for "plays to the backhand" and "golden retriever" :)

Hey, enjoy your moment and celebrate his victories but you'd do much better to simply man up and admit it or at least understand it, and not get your panties in a bunch and immediately brand people as haters for stating a very obvious and well documented observation.
 
I'm happy Goffin pushed Djokovic this much. I really hope he can improve even more throughout the year and become a genuine threat to top rankers. I think Raonic and Kyrgios has some big wins this year. Watch these guys leading the charge and finally break the stranglehold of old guys at top spots and slam wins.
 
I feel Djokovic won this match just because he is in habit of winning. In most of the match he was playing at average level and Goffin put real challenge. Djokovic wasn't very comfortable, physically, either. The one thing that saw Djokovic through was his habit of winning only.

My position is EXACTLY the same.
 
Ultron is on a Gumby tear right now, and that's going to rattle a lot of cages!

Sooner or later someone is going to catch up to him as he declines a bit. It may take another year or two. But when it happens, it's going to be fun, kind of like when Fed finally stopped winning everything (boring!!!) and there was more drama in tennis.

I've said about 1000 times that I'm not a fan, and I'm not. But I honestly thing the "boredom" is coming from a total lack of competition!

TWO delusional people thought Goffin had a chance in today's match.

That said, his horrible overhead to Novak was about a painful to watch as Novak's loss of a point at RG a couple years ago when he crossed the net, or whatever. That's never fun to watch. So Novak was also very lucky today.

I didn't say it did. Just that saying Djoko didn't win anything before 2011 was an odd way of putting it.

Tbh, I think it's natural to become a fan of someone, who wins big. I've always been a fan of Stan's game, but I certainly became a bigger fan from 2013 onwards, when he started showing more promise and believe against the Big 4 and the top-10 in general.
What I do find weird, however, is the fans, who switch from one dominant player to the next and then go all in on it (no names mentioned, but one starts with RF-1.... and another with veroniq... ;)). But to each their own.
