So they could show only Serena, Venus, Sharapova, and Roddick? And go off air for drag racing, WSOP, NASCAR, pogo stick races, etc...? ESPN has too many obligations in March/April. Give FSN a chance - the PLO was their first shot at a really big event.

Why is the Tennis Channel website so poor? The homepage states the coverage of Sony Ericsson one way, the program grid shows a completely different schedule, and the tournament breakdown lists coverage as ESPN2/TTC. When will media companies realize the importance of their websites?


On a side note, the Tennis Channel had a booth at the 2007 PLO. In 2008, I was looking for it-nowhere to be found. Do you suppose they didn't want to hear any more complaints about the nearly hourly showings of "The Other Side of Leyton Hewitt"?

It's apparently FSN, which means the schedule might be even more wacky this time. If you have satellite, you have to check EVERY Fox affiliate instead of just looking for FSN West.

I just did. There are days when there's no telecast and some when there's barely 2 hours.. No point complaining to deaf ears...

It is good that you find some humor in it cause i didn't mean any malice by that post at all. It was only in response to your alliance with that NutJob Stalker that has been stalking me in the Stanford tennis forum. That kind of obssession only turns bad in the end and i am very cautious with that guy. I already know for a fact that it is only one guy in there with multiple duplicate accounts. and he has been stalking me for a while now. :shock:

It's the same thing as PLO, I was physically at the tournament for 2 days of main draw play before it was televised. Saturday does feel like an insane stretch to wait for coverage...what's another let down concerning tennis coverage here and there?

On FSN local sports come first. Even a tennis replay will be pre-empted by a replay of local sports.

The ATP & WTA are looking for ways to make money by streaming the tournaments for a fee over the internet.
FOX in the Phila, PA region is controlled by Comcast and they showed very little of the tourney, the Women's final was shown live but the mens was taped delayed until 11:00pm eastern time.
