I know that for recreational play level indoor tennis courts, the recommended Minimum height measured from the court surface at the net should be 9 meters (30 feet).

However, wanted to know real experience of other people playing in indoor courts where the ceiling (roof) is less than 9 meters above the net. I wanted to know, how it would feel to play if for a local tennis club the roof would be 8 meters (26 feet) high throughout the whole court (at the net and also at baselines)?
How about the angle of lights? Is this fine if lighting is suspended 8 to 9 meters above the surface? The roof would actually be 9 meters, but due to the supporting structures the actual usable height will be 8 meters.
Any other considerations?
I have been looking for info like this on web and in forums, but could not find anything about absolute minimum roof requirements.
