Discuss all things fighting: boxing, martial arts, kick boxing, even WWE if that's your thing.
Here's something to get us started
I train UFC.
Many MMA gyms in Vancouver? Can remember Xtreme Couture
I've been training in Strikeforce for years
Free UFC fights on FX this Friday.

Bantamweight bout: Joseph Sandoval vs. Nick Denis
I hope I'm not the only one that wanted to cry when the UFC was airing on FOX Sports and they were playing the football song before and after commercials. I really hope that the UFC as well as MMA expands but I didn't really like the look of it on a big sports channel such as FOX. I think that they could possibly have an MMA channel like how they have a Tennis Channel and Golf Channel.
Read Duane Ludwig and Josh Neer were off the card.
Read where? Don't see it yet.
Anthony Johnson fired from the UFC
I train secret old form of ninjitsu so i could totally beat your ufc.
That fight card is pretty solid for free tv. I think Miller wins but otherwise I agree with your picks.
I guess you can say I do MMA. I do Shaolin crane Kung Fu, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Ju Jujitsu, Judo, Hapkido, and Voviman. My favorite is Judo, Ju Jujitsu. Its fun sparring till the tap out. My specialty is Shaolin in which I learned from a monk my dad befriended in refugee camp and Hapkido where I use wrist and arm breaks frequently in sparring.
I knew a bit of Kung-Fu. Never been to late to show my level. lol. Yes, I have a belt but not black... SO, NO WORRIES and BE HAPPY.
hmm never seen a belt in kung fu. you sure its kung fu you did?
He has a Belt in Rex-Kwon-Do.
Also as far as MMA KO's go this one is the most impressive Ive seen. I cant imagine getting caught with it though. But the dude that lands it acts like he does it all the time.
And this KO is also very impressive. I mean he got caught with a caporiera (sp?) kick so the level once again aint that high. But the most impressive part of the video is at 22 seconds when his boy flips over the top roperto give the guy some props. Then his other boy at 26 seconds tries to go between the ropes and falls right on his face.
Munoz out, Bisping in. Sonnen ready to lay down some smack talk. Consecutive weekends with free cards on and this is a nice looking one.
Maincard Lt Hvywt bout: Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis
Midwt bout: Chael Sonnen vs. Michael Bisping
Preliminary card (Fuel TV)Lightweight bout: Evan Dunham vs. Nik Lentz
Heavyweight bout: Mike Russow vs. John-Olav Einemo

Featherweight bout: Cub Swanson vs. George Roop
Featherweight bout: Charles Oliveira vs. Eric Wisely
Lightweight bout: Michael Johnson vs. Shane Roller
Heavyweight bout: Joey Beltran vs. Lavar Johnson
Middleweight bout: Chris Camozzi vs. Dustin Jacoby
Did you all see that bout where Camozzi rips the guy's belly open and jumps rope with his intestines? Hard core!!!
Haven't seen it but it sounds fun! Got a link?
Guess CM Punk is too hardcore for the UFC and Chael Sonnen, eh? http://www.mmafighting.com/2012/01/13/cm-punk-wont-escort-chael-sonnen-to-octagon-at-ufc-on-fox/
No Mo MO? http://www.mmafighting.com/2012/01/17/king-mo-lawal-tests-positive-for-steroid-drostanalone/
Tons! They're everywhere.
I train 52 blocks. It beats ufc, ninjutsu, and strikeforce.
SKULL N' CROSSBONEZZZZZ
Who are these Shadowfighters? http://www.ufc.com/event/UFCFX1#/fight
Can't wait for Sonnen v Bisping. Apparently Bisping has been working on his submission game. Love the caption below!
Thanks, the most satisfying moment in MMA, closing Bisping's hole.
We aint gonna see Hendo caliber KO. But I donmt know if Bisping has enough power to do any damage to Sonnen. If Bisping wins it will be by sub. Sonnen obviously by decision or maybe he gets a semi lucky rear naked or something.
I can't see Bisping winning. I have actually grown to dislike Sonnen, at first I thought he was funny, but I have been soured. I don't hate Bisping like most people do.
I think this is a great card. I kind of think Phil Davis is going to beat Rashad as well.
I concur. Sonnen will G&P Bisping. Davis will beat Rashad as long as he doesn't get impatient and walk into something. And yes, for free network TV it's very good.
Sonnen decision looks like a work
I am not sure that there would be that level of corruption. However, besides the 3rd round, I thought Bisping won that fight. I can't believe one judge gave all three rounds to Sonnen, that is incompetence. 30-27 is so far off it almost seems corrupt.
Rashad looked way better than Phil Davis. Davis is going to need some work after all. I always seem to underestimate Evans.
Sonnen's rant after the fight was worthy of the WWE. His attitude seemed as suspect as the decision.
Sonnen won that fight. Bisping landed more strikes, however Sonnens strikes were more effective. While Sonnen didn't do much of anything with his takedowns in the first two, Bisping couldn't get takedowns and thus leaned on the cage and also did nothing. 29-28 should have been the score on all three cards for Sonnen. 30-27 was a bad one but the right fighter won
I concur. Sonnen's standup held its own - and he took Bisping down early and often and controlled the fight.
@Ronaldo, you mean the fix so Bisping wouldn't be penalized for his constant shorts and fence grabbing? I don't think Dana would do anything for Sonnen after the suspension - that brought a huge dark cloud to the sport.
Not a very entertaining card. Sonnen squeaked it out, Davis didn't look good.
The UFC shoulda put Diaz v Condit on Fox. I'm psyched for that barn burner.
Preliminary card (Facebook)
Welterweight bout: Dan Stittgen vs. Stephen Thompson
Middleweight bout: Rafael Natal vs. Michael Kuiper
Preliminary card (FX)
Welterweight bout: Matthew Riddle vs. Henry Martinez
Welterweight bout: Matt Brown vs. Chris Cope
Bantamweight bout: Alex Caceres vs. Edwin Figueroa
Featherweight bout: Dustin Poirier vs. Max Holloway
Main cardMiddleweight bout: Ed Herman vs. Clifford Starks
Bantamweight bout: Renan Barão vs. Scott Jorgensen
Welterweight bout: Josh Koscheck vs. Mike Pierce
Heavyweight bout: Roy Nelson vs. Fabricio Werdum
Interim Welterweight Championship bout: Nick Diaz vs. Carlos Condit
No love for Werdum?
Werdum is awesome, but my coin flip came up with Big Country!
Big Country still smack his belly like Kamala?
Rafa is in mma now? He's all over the place!
Should see Rafa's half guard pass
Diaz 4th round sub armbar fight and sub of the night
Nelson 2nd round ko
Koscheck 1st round ko knockout of the night
Barao unanimous decision
Starks split decision
Not really familiar with the undercard fighters so not even going to attempt that
I can agree with all these. The only one I am the fairly certain of is Kosheck, but who knows. Koschek will be fired up after being disrespected at the weigh-ins. He is bigger and he will crush Pierce.
Nelson looks fitter, but his endurance has been suspect.
Condit is by far the best opponent Diaz has seen in a long time. Last fight, he faced a different, less hungry, and smaller B.J. Penn. He was able to wear him down with his size advantage. Daley, Noons and Santos are all good but are not elite welterweights. I think Diaz will take it, but Condit has a good chance.
Condit can definitely beat Diaz and Fat Roy Nelson will definitely lose to Fabricio Werdum.
Diaz, Werdum, Kos, Barao.
DIAZ VIA SUPERIOR BOXING TKO EZ WORK.
Great head kick KO by the young up and comer Thompson. Bricked that pick, hahaha.
A few prelims live on Facebook now.
Rafa Natal almost finishes with an arm triangle, and he gets the unanimous decision.
Diaz won that fight no question. How can you win if you run away the entire time and only throw leg kicks that don't do anything? Natural born killer my ***
No need for a look of shock, I was right. Condit and Werdum both won.
I had Condit ahead by a slight point margin, kinda like he won 3/5 tiebreaks. Diaz came closest to finishing the fight when he got backmount and worked for choke/arm bar in the 5th, but otherwise, he didn't let his combos go quite enough. Condit with great lateral movements and leg kicks squeaked it out.
Separate names with a comma.
