Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour

So far my only complaint about this shoes is that top of shoes, when i tighten my shoelace, it does feel like lace is putting little too much pressure there and i feel it. I wish they made the tongue bit thicker. I am not sure if they did this, it would add too much weight ?? i don't think little more padding on the tongue would add that much weight

Matt Ebden is rocking these in the Madrid dubs final today.
Actually it’s just a hybrid mish-mash shoe - the upper/heel of the Exceeds, the sole of the previous Intense Tour, but made to look like a current Mizuno. Mizuno does these weird hybrid shoes for a lot of their pros, like RBA who has also plays with Exceed uppers and Intense Tour soles. I think I saw Metkic playing in the actual Enforce.

Wow good eye, I had no idea Mizuno did this.

Kahuna - I see you were a fan of Diadora B icon at one point. Do the cushioning of the Enforce Tour blow the Icon's out of the water or is it comparable? I've got lower back issues and im trying to prioritize thick, shock absorption cushioning ? Ive tried on most everything and i prefer the cushioning in both the Blushield FLY and the Icon so far... Thanks in advance, sir
These are softer than the BIcon, my second favorite shoe.
The Diadoras are cushioned but tighter, stiffer. Mizunos...you don't feel on your feet how soft they are, but super stable, and fast

Personally, I think the Diadora B.Icon is a great shoe. It would be my second choice. The Mizuno WET is just a tad better fit and a little more cushioned IMO. For Doctor Zach just released his 2023 TOP FIVE List and both were on it.

1)Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour

2)Lotto Raptor 100

3)New Balance CG1

4)Asics Gel Res 9

5)Diadora B.Icon 2

i am going to give a honest review. this is one of the most stable shoes i have ever had, with decent cushioning, one of the better ones. but for some reason it hurts my knee more than Yonex powercushion or adidas lightstrike cushioning. and the shoe isn't as nimble as ubersonic 4, which is understandable with 1 oz heavier weight. but still it is a fast shoes.
for my favorite so far, i would rank this #2 behind Ubersonic 4, and i would put yonex at #3.

1. Ubersonic4 2. mizuno exceed tour4 3 yonex

next i will try the babolat jet mach 3. i wonder where this will fit in

guy at my club has the new exceed tour, but he's saying that the toe is breaking the top fabric-piercing through, has/ can this happen with the enforce tour ?

I've had two pair of the exceed tours. No such thing happened to me. Or even seemed like it was possible to happen. That guy must have monster toes or something.

Finally tried my new Enforce Tours. 1.5hrs singles on a hard court. Very good first impressions and I’m already sold on it. Better shoe than what I’ve been using. Comfy, super snug, and stable. I have wide feet with high arches and it fit true to size.

The best compliment I can give it is I didn’t notice the shoes while playing, which in my opinion, is a good sign. No distractions, gives you confidence to just play your game.

The only negative, and this is really minor, is that it was on the grippier side. But that’s probably because I was coming from worn down Exceed Tour 4s. And I’m sure it’ll be fine after a few sessions.

Disclaimer: I’m not nit picky about shoes and have only tried Exceed Tour 4s and Gel Resolution 8s in recent times. I found the Resolution 8 a tad uncomfortable and too heavy so the Exceeds were my default pair. The Enforce has the best qualities of the Resolution and Exceeds so definitely echo the good reviews here!

Just ordered a pair. Hope I like the way they fit. I hate sending shoes back. I've been playing with the exceed tour 5s. So I really hope the Enforce Tours aren't to heavy.

I received my pair of shoes on may3, 2023 and already have holes to the midsole in my shoes and it's only may18 I've probably played 20 hrs or 10 days total in these. I'm trying to see if tennis warehouse can help me with a refund in some type of way because these shoes have worn out way too quick. these shoes are extremely expensive and will not last if you're an avid player.

Do you constantly drag your feet around? There has to be something strange going on with your footwork.

I definitely slide around on hard courts but two weeks has me questioning more then my footwork.
Yeah that doesn't seem right at all. I just received my pair today. I'm actually looking them over right now. The outsoles seem very hard and durable. They remind me of how the outsoles on the Barricades feel. I couldn't imagine these things wearing out like that. You have a 6 month guarantee. Use it.

Every game style is different. I imagine your experience will be different from mine. I could have had a bad pair no idea. Send us an update of your experience after a month.
You are going to wait a while as these are not available in my country yet

this is for the outsole, not the midsole
I had to re-read the post bc I thought the same thing. He said hole to the midsole, though.

I've been wearing mine for a few weeks and it's showing wear, but nowhere near wearing through.

I can't fathom how they would wear through in 2 weeks.

Midsole? Oh... I was thinking outsole. That's really wierd. Definitely send them back. On a side note. I've decided to send mine back. Too much shoe for me. I much prefer the Wave Exceed Tour as it fits much tighter and weighs 3 ounces less.

Very interesting.
My experience is quite the opposite. So far, I find these to outlast the usual suspects like Barricades, Bicon and May others I have used. I probably have 80 hours in them now and they are totally awesome. I exclusively play in an indoor HC with a lot of running and some, limited sliding and I am 200lbs.

Also, two pairs at $160 (with exchange shipping), “extremely expensive” is confusing to me. What comparable shoe lasts you longer at significantly lower price??

Edit: I just realized we are talking midsole. I can’t even imagine that one. Curious to hear what the outcome is!

Maybe I got a bad pair, but the amount of inward tilt in this shoe just doesn't work for me. I've got a med/narrow foot and sized down to 11.5, which is perfect for length and width fit. Wanted to love them, but just not a good fit for me.

I noticed the pronation, too. I think I'm going to stay with the Exceed Tours after these wear out.

Sounds like we are having totally opposite experiences. I'm a hard court slider and it could be my outdoor courts being slower/textured as well. Two pairs for $160 with the durability I agree is a great deal I agree if the shoes last more then 2 weeks. Once again, each individual experience will vary. Just sharing my experience. :)

dont know about his toe, but he doesnt run or even run much, he's social player who sometimes comes to mens night at my club - the wave exceed have a mesh design on the top of toes - like the nike vapor

also anyone know if this comes in a UK size 12, every website goes to 11 or equivilant to uk 11, thr website for uk sze 12 is greyed out

Tried a pair of these, same size as my Asics. I feel I maybe could go half a size smaller, but not sure. I could not get proper fixation in the heel area, tightening the laces more hurt my foot because of the very thin tongue, it lacks padding IMO. Nice shoe to look at and they seem comfy, but my search continues for a new shoe, these are going back.

So I tried half size up for wave enforce compare to gel 9, it's a tiny bit longer but a thorlo sock should be enough to fill the gap. Width is good.
GR 9 in a 2E or regular? I would like to buy a pair of Enforce Tour's and I am usually a 2E/4E shoe and want to know if I can size up half a size and fit into them or if they'll be too narrow. Don't have anywhere in Australia to try on beforehand.

Paradoxically, I've been wearing an older pair of Mizuno Exceed Tour 3s, and one of the best features has been the well-padded tongue. Secure to wear without getting pain over the top of my foot. Cushioning is still OK for a five year old Mizuno, but it's still one of my favorite shoes around the house.

Really wanted to like these but I found my toes, especially the pinky toes, too squished. Cushioning felt great but it wasn't wide enough for me, especially with orthotics. Wish they had a wider version.

LOL, Forbes website saids this shoe is for Baseliners ?? That is very strange since Foot doctor above saids this shoes is great from all areas of the court and is candidate for shoe of the year

Yea!! It's so cool to see that the foot doctor rated them as #1 - I will order them next month!

Update from my side:
So, after about a month and a half, 80 hours roughly, the sole is giving up. So, I can probably get about two months, ~90 hours, before sending them back

As I had initially feared, my pair have reached the beginning of the end after approximately 5 weeks. This is after roughly 15-18 court hours

Man. I'll take 325i's experience/longevity there happily if it's this good of a performer, TFP's experience more concerning. Though I'll ask you both: on hardcourt, are the HC soles more on the sticky/grippy side or do they allow for some give to slide just a bit out of stops?

I've been using the clay version on the dirt and I have to say, at least there, this is just a phenomenal shoe for me so far (only a few sessions). Paired with my powerstep insoles, it's the first shoe since the Court FF2 that my wide weird feet have been extremely happy with.

The shoes are well worth it for you. :)90 hrs is great. I do agree they were comfy and had zero break in.

Honestly I don't slide that much but I have not had any issues doing so in these when I want/need to. This type of wear was exactly what I was concerned about when I first got the shoes bc the tread depth is very shallow IMO. Compared side by side to my B.Icon 2, the Diadora's have much more tread depth. If I had stayed on indoor courts, the Mizunos would have far less wear. Our outdoor courts here are all insanely grippy/gritty and I chew through shoes every summer. Still though, this was exceptionally fast wear for me and oddly was on my left shoe which I have never had happen before. Every other pair, I burn a hole in the right shoe.

For additional context, I'm 5'11", 155lbs playing at 5.0 level. Sessions are a mix of singles sets/drills and high level doubles. In my experience I typically wear out other 6 month guarantee shoes between the 3-4 month mark. Non guarantee, speed shoes (Ubersonic, Solution Speed, etc) I usually get 6-8 weeks out in the summer. I still love the Mizunos and would absolutely keep wearing them but my concerns when I got them about how they would handle summer outdoor hard courts were proved out even faster than I expected.

I slide some, however, felt like these had more limited slipping initially.
I play exclusively on the indoor HC that is not overly gritty, so...about 45 days, playing every day 1.5-2 hours, they look about the same as the picture from the faceless above. I'd say, probably 10 hours left in them before sending back. I do have 4 pairs though, moving forward will rotate two. This time around, I used a single pair every single day.

Did anyone send these for the outsole warranty replacement? I assume we send them directly to TW, I am not sure what address though?
@TW Staff ?

Thank you

Anyone getting toe pinch issues with the uppers when taking a step? Just got my pair in, walked around the house and it was the first thing I noticed.

Bottom foot comfort though is phenomenal
