Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour

I'm going same size as FF2 , Gel Res 8s. Will report back. I prefer narrow fit as possible without constriction.
Hey I see you've tried both the Lacoste AG-LT 23, the GR8/9 and these Mizunos. For me, the toebox on the GR9 was just too narrow (width) and I was getting toe jamming on my right pinky (both sizing up and trying the 2E version mades thing worse due to new found heel slippage). But everything else fit nicely. Any chance the AG-LT or these Mizunos are just as narrow a fit but with a wider toebox? (I've tried non-narrow fit shoes but there is just too much heel slippage for my feet size). FYI: I'm from Australia so no chance of trying these shoes on before ordering online internationally.

I don't agree, but foot Dr. Zach thinks this is the best shoe at the start of 2024:

I'm eagerly awaiting the successor to the Zoom GP Turbo.

I heard that Mizuno is planning on releasing an Enforce Light in the coming months. This version is supposed to be between the Enforce and Wave Exceed Tour.

Found this on the net....

Looks like the tester foot is pronating inside....

I like these shoes a lot. The cushioning is absolutely phenomenal. The only negative for me is that I have very flat feet and they have a little to much arch on the insole to provide absolute comfort for me. Probably sticking with my GR9.

what other maximalist models is the toebox width of the Mizunos comparable to, in your opinion?

No matter which shoe you pick from, you really should have some custom orthotics made to correct your flat feet. As someone with similar feet, those orthotics have lasted me well over a decade and have proven to be a worthwhile investment in my tennis performance.

The GR9 have been great out of the box. I should look at orthotics though.

I found them to be similar to FF3 Court in the toe box width but different all around. The WET has nice comfortable toe box area that can easily be secured and also rest is nice and soft and comfortable that becomes very secure once you pull the laces…

Bit the bullet today and wore these on the court for the first time. Super comfortable and no issue post session. Left foot feels fine. My search for a new shoe is over :)
So, six months have passed and the soles are worn where the balls of my feet usually push off from when changing direction and serving. I have started to feel pain on my right foot on the ball of my large toe as well which feels like metartasal pain, so suspect that the cushioning in this area has compressed and is no longer providing adequate support. It’s time to retire these and move on, therefore I’ve ordered the latest K-Swiss Hyper Court Supreme 2 and am looking to use an orthotic to help with the pain and healing process. As a long-standing K-Swiss user, I’m hoping the new shoes give decent room in the toe box coupled with excellent comfort and on-court performance

Six months.
I am happy if they are still usable after 6 weeks...

I feel like I am inbetween sizes. 9.5US feels very snug out of the box (but no pain, just toes getting bit hugged tight), I wouldnt want to wear it all day in the house. And 10US feels like I have too much material in the front and I think that could hinder my performance. What would be the right decision in this situation?

Bigger. Wear thicker socks, like thorlos.

Send them back! I wished I did and just spent half my money on the old faithful K-Swiss Express 2!

width is fine on the bigger size, its just that the extra material in front of my toes bothers me. Have to drag that around if you know what I mean. Think that problem stays with thicker socks

Ah really? I was hoping you would respons because you also commented about the slight tightness in the front. I ordered some kswiss express 2 to try side by side. Thanks!

They are tighter fitting in the toe box compared to the K-Swiss Express 2 and any K-Swiss tennis shoe for that matter, which are known to be generous in that department. I soldiered on thinking the Mizunos just needed breaking in. I did get used them after a while but notice the difference when I swap between my K-Swiss.

Quick update from me. I tried my Hypercourt Supreme 2s today for the first time. Compared to the Mizunos, the cushioning is plusher in the Mizunos, although I need to break in the HCS2s a little more. I have the Pedag Viva Sport orthotic in both shoes, and it feels more comfortable in the Mizunos at the moment. If it weren’t for the crappy soles, I would have gone with these again in hindsight!

Hello everybody.
I am wondering if this model has some difference with Mizuno clay version. I could not find any information and they seems absolutely same to me.

Looks like the outsole is pretty much the same as the clay ones

My only complaint with these might just be that they don't offer a lot of colors. Feedback from anyone I know that's tried them has been really good.

Looks like three new colorways have been released in Europe (one being the padel rebrand that’s the same as clay), however there also looks to be a cheaper Enforce Court version of the shoe. So I suspect there’s not a new Tour version anytime soon.

Yea its great shoes for sure, i did love it but threw it out cause i was going with yonex eclipsion 5. They are basically same high Performance shoes except Yonex feels and is much faster shoes. not sure why.. maybe its powercushion ??

really? the eclipsion 5 is a faster shoe, its heavier by a good margin - its better in comfort and grip, but its not faster than the enforce tour

Defintely faster than enforce tour. and better support too. E5 is a legend could be known as the BEST tennis shoe in decades

Very new to Mizuno but was very very impressed by the Wave Enforce Tour. Been a Gel Res wearer for 10+ years and never thought I'd switch. Working in a tennis retail store has its perks and after trying on 8-10 pairs of various brands (really to learn products.....), pulled the trigger on a pair of Mizunos. Comfort, support, and cushioning are all as good as everyone says. The toe box for me is a tiny bit wider than the Gel Res but not enough to alarm me. Happy to now have two shoes that work for me.

Agreed. I am also a Asics GR fan and have several GR 6-7-8 pair that I rotate through. But the Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour 5 fit me well and now I found a pair of the Tour 6 models on sale. I like both brands and models for slightly different reasons.

How does the durability of the outsole compare between Asics GR and Mizuno?

Do you guys find the Enforces to run narrow, medium, or wide in the toe box?
